One of the 2 visions I have had

I had this vision several years ago.

Just to give a little background. I was in college studying my first year of Chemical Engineering. It was Thanksgiving weekend and the dorms were empty, with the exception of myself and one other girl.

I was really praying that night that God would show me his plan for my life. I then went to sleep. The vision started at my fathers funeral (I had this vision a year or so after his funeral). I'm giving you the Cliff's Notes version by the way. My extended family was sitting around a room, dead silent. There was a case in the middle of the room.

I asked what was inside. My cousin said "DO NOT OPEN THAT CASE!" I pursued it and questioned more and more until I finally walked over and opened the case. My cousin looked at me and told me,

"You have no idea what you have just done."

At that moment my sight flashed to the other side of the cosmos where I saw the release of 7 terribly demonic spirits. They were moving extremely fast and coming for me. I felt panicked, the feeling you have when you are running from someone.

My sight flashed back to the funeral room and I sensed the urgency to run. I never saw what was in the case, but I do know that my opening of the case released the demons. My cousin said "we need to get you out of here right now."

And so began my struggle to flee these spirits. The vision took me from place to place, from country to country, from decade to decade of my life. There were times I could elude the spirits, but there were also terrible times when they would find me and encompass me. In the darker times they issued great fear upon me and blindness to my surroundings. Their darkness was all I could see.

This battle went on for some time. At one point the demons had me surrounded and we

I see something, but I think you should pray on it because I don't know you and I would never wish to lead you from God's path. I will pray for you too.

That was an astonishing dream, but dream interpretation is way out of my league.

I have always thought the case I opened which released the spirits was sexual immorality (porn and unmarried sex). This is the biggest struggle I have faced the last several years so it naturally fits the description.

Sometimes I feel the demons are real demons. There were times I have been face to face with demons, but I have always discerned those as one demon and not 7. I have also thought maybe the demons represent an illness, like AIDS. I have since been tested and do not have HIV, thank God!

What I don't understand is why 7 spirits? Usually demonic references to a number is a 6. Seven is usually regarded as a holy number.

I also never found meaning behind why my left leg was crippled. I did have a motorcycle accident which tore 12.5 cubic inches of my left leg off, but I have since recovered fully.

Who is the helper? Will I know this person in the literal or will they be hidden to me?

More or less what I took from the vision was that I mess up, reap the consequences, live a long time, go to heaven. But I was hoping there was more to it that I am missing.

I know for a fact that sexual sin is on the top of the list for a large number of believers, male or female. The devil loves to use that issue the most. You can see it through the family unit breakup in this country. I think your helper is Jesus. You have to lay this burden on Him and pray for deliverance. He will help you.

*grin* Well, the Holy Spirit is usually the one refered to as "the Helper," but it doesn't really matter, since Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit are One. (I can be a technicalities freak sometimes. I'll try not to do it too often )

The fact that your left leg is crippled in your dream may be figurative; perhaps meaning a lesson that will teach you to lean on God and not try to stand alone.

The seven demons may mean seven trials or temptations you have to face.

I'm just speculating, though...it's your dream.

I believe that you're likely right about the case representing sexual immorality...it seems very fitting. I know from experience that it's not the kind of thing that you can just open and then close without dealing with the consequences for a LONG time afterwards. There is grace, though, as I think the end of your dream illustrates.

I also believe that you are right about the broad sense of the dream's meaning.

The unique thing about this dream was the immense spectrum of feelings attached to the physical senses of the vision. I felt the panic of fear during the chases. There was overwhelming hoplessness when they surrounded me. There was fufillment when I stumbled through the forest.

The fufillment was the most prophetic aspect of the dream to me. I had experienced great pain (hence the withered appearance) but had led a life of fufillment. I was honored to have such great protection from the man in white clothes. God cared enough for me He gave a protector for me when I was feeble.

Then as I ascended the plateau and looked upon the world I felt at ease, ready to enter into eternity.

Although it is quite possible the demonic oppression served only as my consequences. I think they served as my testimony, that God could overcome them for me to still live a fufilled life.

I wish the dream could have told more about the condition of the world, or some prophecy concerning people other than myself.

I would be concerned if I was seeing demonic spirits in dreams.

Please don't take what I am about to say wrong, because it comes from concern...but you need to stay away from movies like Emily Rose.  I know you said this dreams was several years ago,  but some of your posts cause me to feel concern for you.

I talked with my best friend the other day who now lives in another state. He told me him and his wife pray for me every day. That made me feel so great!

A man whom I used to go into the prisons with always quoted the scripture "God will not be made a fool that man reaps what he sows."

At first I thought I would reap pregnancy, STDs, etc from sowing sexual discord but this is not always the case. What I see as my consequences of my behavior are:

My chances of marrying a pure wife are slim to none

The chances that sexual problems will arise in my marriage are very high

The things I have done and seen will be imprinted on my mind for an extra long time
