It is so beautiful a scene, and just think the eagle(s) knows nothing about California politics! It just does it's duty and takes in the sights. I have gotten hooked on this, using the sound as pleasant white noise. I even looked at Big Bear Valley real estate. But no I can't do California a third time. No no no. LOL! Family at onetime long ago chose Wrightwood over Big Bear and owned the beauty salon there for awhile along with a chalet that backed up to the national forest. It was nice enough but didn't have that awesome lake and valley view that is Big Bear. Gads the adventures in my memory banks from those days of old. I'm still waiting for it! Now about 1:10 pm. We did have some rain in the wee hours but thought it would be pouring by now. The winds are blasting the tree and Jackie around. Shadow showed up with a stick ,set it down at nest edge, and waited for Jackie. She got up and took off. He waited a short while staring at I guess that third egg, and then worked his way into egg coverage position. The wind still whipping the tree around. He protests a little to show his interest and then he is off in flight to where ???. Yep I have been watching the weather approaching on MSN weather using Big Bear Valley Ca. as the address. Been watching Santa Barbara too. Funny thing is we are getting hit with some pretty fierce winds in spurts with storm coming in supposedly.
