The Unicorn? Is that scriptural?

Psalm 92:10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn:

I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Okay, okay, modern translations say "wild ox", but let's give the Scotties a break.

I am NOT going to Google to answer this. The national animal of Scotland is the Shetland pony.

At the time of the king james translation, unicorns had long been considered a symbol of purity and strength rather than a real animal. That is why the translators then had chosen that word.

I was actually just trying to be funny. I forgot there is a special sub-forum for humor. My bad.

As to the national animal of Scotland, I heard that as an answer to a trivia question, and thought

really? A unicorn? Why not a wookie?

Surely it is the ' Haggis ' a small animal known for running anti clockwise round mou trains, so it's left legs are shorter than it's right legs.    :)

Yes it's only the bagpipe beast that runs clockwise round mountains.
