Isaiah 12:

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for Yah

The Lord is my strength and my song; He also is my salvation.

3 Therefore with joy shall you draw water out of the well of Yahshua.

As a motif, the Bride is found at the Fountain of the Lord

John 7:

37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,

If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow

rivers of living water.

39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would

receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Abraham sent his eldest servant to his homeland to find a bride for Isaac.

He prayed as he rested his camels at the village well

Genesis 24:

11 And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening

time, the time when women go out to draw water.

12 Then he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day,

and show kindness to my master Abraham.

13 Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city

are coming out to draw water.

14 Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, Please let down your pitcher

that I may drink, and she says, Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink, let her

be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that

You have shown kindness to my master.

15 And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah, who was

born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, came out with

her pitcher on her shoulder.

Note that it is the daughters of the village that are responsible for drawing water.

When Jacob Met Rachel

Genesis 29:

1 So Jacob went on his journey and came to the land of the people of the East.

2 And he looked, and saw a well in the field; and behold, there were three flocks

of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks. A large stone was

on the well’s mouth.

3 Now all the flocks would be gathered there; and they would roll the stone from the

well’s mouth, water the sheep, and put the stone back in its place on the well’s mouth.

You might expect this to be a time when one of the sons would be at the well;

to water the flock.

9 Now while he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep,

for she was a shepherdess.

10 And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s

brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, that Jacob went near and

rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laban

his mother’s brother.

11 Then Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept for joy.

When we come to the Lord joyfully to draw living water from the wells of salvation,

The Lord comes and kisses us on the mouth!

Song of Solomon 1:

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth:

for your love is better than wine.

3 Because of the fragrance of your good ointments.

Your name is an ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you.

4 Draw me, we will run after you, the king has brought me into his chambers:

we will be glad and rejoice in you!

We will remember your love more than wine: the upright love you.

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy.

For I have betrothed you to one husband,

that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Jesus proclaims True Worship and the gift of Living Water

to a Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well

John 4:

5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar,

near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey,

sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

7 A Samaritan woman came to draw water. Jesus said to her, Give Me a drink.

8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, How is it that You, being a Jew,

ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman? For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is

who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him,

and He would have given you Living Water.

He accepts us, even though many of us have been “married to many prior husbands”.

11 The woman said to Him, Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep.

How will You get this living water?

12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank

from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?

13 Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,

14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.

But the water that I shall give him will become in him

a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.

15 The woman said to Him, Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst,

nor come here to draw.

16 Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband, and come here.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband.

Jesus said to her, you have well said, I have no husband,

18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not

your husband; in that you spoke truly.

19 The woman said to Him, Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.

When we receive Living Water from the wellspring of Salvation,

we can now worship in Spirit and in Truth

20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem

is the place where one ought to worship.”

21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither

on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship,

for salvation is of the Jews.

23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship

the Father in Spirit and Truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.

Even the Samaritans knew of a coming Messiah.

Jesus boldly proclaims to her that He has come!

25 The woman said to Him, I know that the Messiah is coming

(who is called Christ). When He comes, He will tell us all things.

26 Jesus said to her, I Am He who is speaking to you.

How about this:

Proverbs 5:15-20  Drink water out of your own cistern, running water out of your own well.  (16)  Should your springs overflow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares?  (17)  Let them be for yourself alone, not for strangers with you.  (18)  Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.  (19)  A loving doe and a graceful deer— let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love.  (20)  For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another?

And this . . .

Son 4:10-15  How fair is your love, My sister, my spouse! How much better than wine is your love, And the scent of your perfumes Than all spices!  (11)  Your lips, O my spouse, Drip as the honeycomb; Honey and milk are under your tongue; And the fragrance of your garments Is like the fragrance of Lebanon.  (12)  A garden enclosed Is my sister, my spouse, A spring shut up, A fountain sealed.  (13)  Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates With pleasant fruits, Fragrant henna with spikenard,  (14)  Spikenard and saffron, Calamus and cinnamon, With all trees of frankincense, Myrrh and aloes, With all the chief spices—  (15)  A fountain of gardens, A well of living waters, And streams from Lebanon.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”

And let him who hears say, Come!

And let him who thirsts come.

Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
