The Lord has told us we would have trouble down here.  Sometimes it takes a wakeup call. Sometimes  it may seem we are  hopelessly stuck in a bad place.

I thought this would be a good thread to post scriptures that lift us all up. Remind us who we are. Affirm our place in Christ. 

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

John 16.33 comes to mind: "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world".

This scripture has helped me a lot through many painful afflictions. Praise the Lord.
