Little horns attempt to change laws

Daniel 7:25

He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.

 

 

As we read of the new right wing Israeli government attempts at judicial overhaul,we can reflect on the scripture concerning the ends times.This is what the new government is seeking.

 

At its core, the judicial overhaul would give the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, and therefore the parties in power, more control over Israel's judiciary.

From how judges are selected, to what laws the Supreme Court can rule on, to even giving parliament power to overturn Supreme Court decisions, the changes would be the most significant shakeups to Israel's judiciary since its founding in 1948.

As to what laws this government will seek to pass is yet to be seen .But two members of this government have already proposed legislation to outlaw testifying of Christ in Israel.

This is not what that verse is speaking about, thus change is needed, the Supreme Court through fiat are being political hacks. Just like with "Lawfare" in America they are using law to go after their political opponents.

As per the verse you cited, it doesn't really mean times & laws as we think of today per se. It means he changes the Culture & Norms. (Remember God's Laws are tailored to His essence, His being, one man one wife = fidelity etc. etc.) We have the unique likeness of this in history with Antiochus & Jason (real name Yeshua) a Jewish High Priest who bribed Antiochus to be named High Priest, replacing his pious High Priest brother Onias III.

So, what happened in 170ish BC ? Well, the High Priest who is the archetype False Prophet welcomed Antiochus, the archetype Beast/Anti-Christ into the temple of God to sacrifice a pig unto Zeus on the altar of God. Jason then "MANDATED" that all Jews become Hellenized (conform to Greek Culture instead of Jewish Culture) and this decree led to the Maccabean Revolt. So, what to I mean about Times & Laws meaning Norms & Cultures? 

So, the times can mean Seasons, Years, some try to say Epochs, I do not see that, so lets add those two together, seasons/years = what? The Appointed Times of God, or the Jewish ways and traditions, by this time Israel will have repented, thus they understand that Jesus fulfills all of these Feasts, and he will take away Jesus worship, and all of the normal Jewish celebrations like Passover, etc. etc. 

Changing the Laws fits into the exact same pattern, not the Laws of God per se, we are now under Grace, but they seek to change the NORMS God's laws gave us, one man one woman marriage, the nature or sex of people in general, just like the Greek Culture tried to change Israel's culture back 2200 years ago under Antiochus. The Greeks built a gymnasium in Jerusalem, the Greeks would frolic around in the nude playing sports games and hobnobbing with each other, basically a homosexual hangout for men. They wanted the Jews to change their culture or norms and ways, they wanted the Jews to worship their gods, Zeus, Diana etc. etc. These two end time Beasts, the Anti-Christ and False Prophet will do exactly what Antiochus & Jason did 2200 years ago, they will seek to change the Norms and the Culture God has given them, and all of Western Civilization tbh. 

So, in essence, this has nothing to do with our Civil Laws, it is speaking of the Laws God passed down unto us, like one man one woman marriage, our Sexual Nature etc. etc. LOOK AROUND, the World (Greek System 2200 years ago was THE WORLD SYSTEM) is doing all of this now as we speak.

No ,the word of God says he tries to change laws.I quoted the verse in case someone like yourself would come along and say he doesn't.You read the verse and decided to say he doesn't anyway.

CNN is a globalist NWO media; not really a good source to get an objective summary of the situation.

As Rev. Man accurately pointed out, the Israeli judiciary is as biased and political as our own, and there are good reasons for it to get its wings clipped. But both Israel and America are so polarized, and so close to civil disruptions and possibly civil war, that it is doubtful there are enough true statesmen left to be able to construct any reasonable solutions before Jesus returns. Public politics is more akin to "reality tv shows" than any semblance of true reality.

This thread is about the little horn.Not the US .

It's the little country full of people who will have their kingdom taken away from them and given to the saints for an everlasting possession.

Daniel 7:25-28

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

 

 

You know,the kingdom that Jesus said would be taken from the unbelieving Jews and given to other people

Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

You are pointing out your misunderstanding of who the little horn is. The prophecy of Daniel 7:25 is way down the road yet, and not be fulfilled until after God begins to sit in judgment over the earth, and "the great day of His wrath is come." Rev. 6:17

No,the little horn persecutes the saints for 42 months before the time of God's wrath.It is after this 42 month persecution that the little horn is destroyed during God's wrath.Then it is given to the saints.

These verses are in correct order of events.

 

First comes the tribulation

Daniel 7:25

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

 

Then comes the time of God's wrath.

Daniel 7:26

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

 

Then the kingdom is given to the saints.

Daniel 7:27

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

 

 

 

These events are not far off.The persecution of the saints in Israel is already becoming commonplace.They will only get worse.

"Saints" in Daniel refer to Daniel's people, the Jews, not Christians. The Church was a hidden mystery to the OT prophets. The judgment spoken of in these verses refers to the earthly people and Kingdom of Israel, not the heavenly one of the Church.

This judgment comes at the 7th Trumpet, not the 6th Seal.

The saints in Daniel are washed clean by the blood of the lamb.Holy people.

Thats how people become holy people or saints if you like to call them that.Theee is no other way to wash your sins away.As for the prophets,they prophecied of Christ.They believed in him and taught of him. The prophets spoke of the church as well on many occasions.

The saints who Daniel wrote of are Daniels people who have been washed clean by the blood of the lamb.Believe it or not,there are actually Jews who believe in Christ.Several of them wrote the new testiment.
