Bartimaeus

.

He was in Jericho, begging by the road.

Blind Bartimaeus, he carried a heavy load.

He was poor, blind and hungry but had hope in his heart.

He heard a crowd approaching, which gave him a start.

He asked "why the noise, what's this all about"?

They answered it was Jesus of Nazareth..Bartimaeus cried out.

"Jesus, Son of David have mercy on me"

Some told him to hush but he continued his plea.

"Jesus, Son of David have mercy" was his cry.

He wanted to be heard as Jesus walked by.

Then Jesus stood still, said "Bring him to me".

They told the blind man to" rise, Jesus calleth thee."

They said be of good comfort he has heard your call.

Bartimaeus rose up, cast his garments and stood tall.

He stood before Jesus, a sight to behold.

The gift he wanted was worth far more than gold.

Jesus said "what shall I do for you this night?"

Bartimaeus said "Lord, that I receive my sight".

Jesus said "Thy faith has made you whole".

Immediately he was healed, not just his eyes but his soul.

Bartimaeus followed Jesus as all the people gave praise.

Glory to God and love him all of your days.

He can heal you too, it's no great a task.

Jesus only requires that you believe and ask.

Easter

It was at dusk when my entire being was wretched with pain.

My flesh cried out in agony, my tears I could not contain.

My Savior, the Christ, beaten and scorn,

His head bloody and bruised from the crown of thorn.

They mocked Him and spat on Him. An excruciating sight to behold.

He was nailed to a cross and lifted up as was foretold.

I waited and watched to see how He behaved.

If He would come down and His life be saved.

But that time never came, He hung till He died.

Some people cheered and laughed but some also cried.

Our King was dead, all hope was gone.

We buried our Savior before the Sabbath's dawn.

Two days went by and our hearts they were broke.

I had visions of the spear in His side, His flesh, the brutal poke.

After 3 days, we went to honor Him in His grave.

Buried in a borrowed tomb, a hole like a cave.

I woke early that morning only to see,

the beauty of the dawn and the Son before me.

My heart it raced as the Son took flight

to the heavens above, towards the Father's Holy light.

It was then I understood His suffering and the reason He came.

It was to take the burdens of my sin, and the guilt of my shame.

He had to die, it was His life He gave.

That all would be free and their souls He did save.

I had thought all was gone and my Savior was lost.

But that wasn't the case, only the cost.

I rejoiced and sang and shouted a praise

Jesus is alive, His body I saw raise.

Our tears turned to joy and our pain went away.

We serve a risen Savior, He's alive and with us today.

We thank you dear Jesus for saving us and hearing our call

This is indeed a Very Happy Easter for all.

MOURN

Please don't mourn for me but instead rejoice.

Sing out loud your praises, let the heavens hear your voice.

My life hasn't really ended, in fact it's just begun.

I've gone to see my maker, my Savior, the Son.

If you must cry, let joy and peace fill your tears.

For the pain is gone, which I've endured over these many years.

I've received my crowns of Glory and laid them at Jesus' feet.

He showed me your crowns too, that He will give you when you meet.

Jesus and I, we now walk the streets of gold.

Forever with my Savior, my hand He will forever hold.

So be happy for me and let not your heart be sad.

For in this paradise of heaven, there is nothing bad.

No pain, no fear, no sadness, no loss.

Because of Jesus' sacrifice upon the rugged cross.

I hope these words bring comfort to you and help you with your pain.

I promise you that someday , we will be together again.

Remember

Even before the first breath was drew

Remember I was with you

Before the first summer winds blew

Remember I was with you

Before the flowers kissed the dew

Remember I was with you

When you met your love so true

Remember I was with you

As your children and grandchildren grew

Remember I was with you

When all of life's troubles brew

Remember I was with you

Even when you had no clue

Remember I was with you

In everything and all you do

Remember I am with you

When your days on earth seem so few

Remember I am with you

When the time comes to start anew

SEASONS OF LIFE

It was the SPRING in your lives, when alas you met.

So young and spry, how could you forget?

You courted and shared your hopes and dreams.

The stars in your eyes were blinding, it seems.

It became the SUMMER in your lives, and you decided to marry.

You got a home and a job, for the family you'd carry.

At last they came, you had children to raise.

You had a family now and gave God the praise.

It was now the FALL and the kids leave your home.

They seek their ways in life, the country they roam.

Your house seems so empty but you rekindle the flame.

You know grandkids are coming and things will not be the same.

The WINTER has come and you have great-grandkids too.

The family has blossomed, because of you two.

Knowledge and love passed down through the years.

The struggles and fights. The laughter and tears.

But it doesn't end yet, spring will come once more.

Generations continue and the cycle will begin like before.

We carry with us each day, a part of you two.

We love so much, we really do.

Begin

Life starts in the Spring

Flowers bloom and the birds sing

We grow too, we learn to walk

We sprout like weeds and learn to talk

Like the animals who follow their parent's lead

We, too, learn life's lessons we'll need

What we learn now, we'll carry throughout

Spring is for learning what life's all about

Words

Give me the words to say Lord

when thankyou is just not enough.

Give me the words to say Lord

when life seems to be too rough.

Give me the words to say Lord

that will lift up your name in praise.

Give me the words to say Lord

that I can sing for all of my days.

Give me the words to say Lord

so I can comfort others who are sad.

Give me the words to say Lord

that will help them see it's not so bad.

Give me the words to say Lord

that will pick me up when I fall.

Give me the words to say Lord

that will spread joy and peace to all.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
