Part One

The Abrahamic Covenant: God establishes a covenant with Abraham which is extended to his seed Isaac, and Jacob, whom God changes his name to Israel.

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Gen. 17:7.

Jacob had twelve sons named: (in order of birth) Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, (Dinah was Jacob’s only daughter recorded in Scripture), Joseph, and Benjamin.

The Abrahamic Covenant extended to Abraham’s seed and descendants “after thee.”

Abraham had another son recorded in Scripture named Ishmael through a slave woman belonging to Abraham’s wife, Sarai/Sarah named Hagar.

Ishmael was also given great promises from God:

20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. Gen. 17:20–21.

Isaac had two sons recorded in Scripture named Esau and Jacob. When Rebekah was pregnant God told her “Two nations are in thy womb, And two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; And the one people shall be stronger than the other people; And the elder shall serve the younger Gen. 25:23.

The “nations and kings” that God promised Abraham that would come from “out of thee” (his seed) are the descendants of Ishmael and Esau, both children of Abram the Hebrew (Gen. 14:13.) Through Jacob the covenant extended to his twelve sons and their descendants who were later known as the children of Israel (Jacob.) Joseph had two sons recorded in Scripture named Ephraim and Manassas.

In the process of time the children of Israel ended up in Egypt where Pharaoh made them slaves and placed upon this people great burdens by which they called upon their God for deliverance from their enslavement and troubles. God heard them and sent a man named Moses through whom God delivered this great people and destroyed the armies of Pharaoh and Egypt. God caused the children of Israel to wander through the desert many decades and finally rested them at the foot of Mount Sinai. It has been estimated the children of Israel that left Egypt numbered 3-4 million people with children included.

Gen 48:14  And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
15  And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,

The name, named on the sons of Joseph

My name, AND THE NAME of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. One name to all three? The Israel of God?

Ge 48:16  The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

Ex 4:22  And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

A double portion of inheritance. Earthly kingdom, and heavenly kingdom.

1Ch 5:1  Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
1Ch 5:2  For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)

Earthly Israel is distinct from the heavenly Israel.

As per Paul Gal 4 And Hebrews etc.

32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:      1 Co 10:32.

At the time of this writing the Church consisted of Jewish Christians. This is the Church Christ was to build and He started it on Pentecost with 3000 Jews. He was sent, after all, to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Only.

The other two are unsaved Israel and Gentiles. For the moment.

Israel is the Great Congregation and Church of "called out [ones]."

18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation:
I will praise thee among much people. Ps 35:18.

25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation:
I will pay my vows before them that fear him. Ps 22:25.

He was sent to the Jew's first, as the wrath was coming upon Jew's by the law. John came preaching an escape from it. The twelve were sent into all nations.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
