really have not thought about it. I guess I can say one at a time. If something happens then I will consider other tats now just one

@NConly Come to think of it, each tattoo encounter is unique, right?

I think you were recently considering particular colors for a design, anyway.

Hi @NConly Yes, there needs to be a relationship of trust established between the tattooee and the tattoo artist.

Sounds like even though you got the design and placement all worked out, you won't be going back to the artist you talked about a while ago that disappointed you.

@Thewhitedove said something similar;  she's an experienced tattooee but said she was really disappointed with the artist she used before.

There does need to be trust there.

Hi @walla299

You said (back a bit) : "I have met some believers who reworked the tatts from their old lives into something Christ honoring after they were saved. Those can be a good conversation starter sometimes"

My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also; and I'm sure other conversations have arisen as a result of her willingness to have it shot in at the tattoo parlor.

(Likely the motive for it in the first place...)

Hi @TheBlade So did you see the young lady again that you said had lots of tattoos? and if so did she still regret them?

(It does need plenty of aforethought, of course...)

Yes I think so too.

@RdJ So were you at her wedding, maybe? I have heard of tattoo artists working on couples' ring fingers as part of the wedding ceremony..........

Hi @Coruscating You're not in North America, right?

In North America, anyway, getting tattooed is very widespread among professing Christians, especially in some areas. FYI:

..............

..in the rural Bible Belt. Just about every person in three of the four sides of my family (bio parents, step parents) have multiple tattoos. Most of them are biblical (crosses between the shoulder blades are the most common ones) getting tattoos when your old enough is pretty much expected in the family.

Hi @Dennis1209 Back a bit you said you were bothered by your daughter's tattoos; so do you think you have gotten over it, yet?
