They do say there are rare cases of something to do with the heart. At first I hadn't planned to make a special trip to CVS for this booster. However this week the health department phoned asking if we wanted the new booster. They come to our apartment because my mom is homebound. I couldn't decide so she said to ask our doctor and she would phone again on Friday. Since my mom doesn't see anyone but me....and also she has an irregular heartbeat, I didn't know if she really needs the vaccination now. Also, since I don't come into contact with many people, I wondered if I needed it this time. Might try to talk with the doctor Here in Los Angeles, doctors are not giving the vaccinations. They are administered at drug stores and given at home to the homebound. During the Pandemic, there were also large vaccination sites for people to drive through to get the shots. That was done at the VA hospital campus here as well. One of the large public hospitals had a similar setup off of the interstate. Before the vaccines, they had drive-through swabbing for the PCR at the VA. I did that once per week to prove I was negative so I could continue working. Remembering those days brings tears to my eyes... literally. That mile-long cotton swab smarted sometimes.

What is this, #1,001? That's how little I care anymore. I never got the original vaccine, I never will, and I certainly won't get any boosters for a vaccine I never got. Now if you want to I won't stand in your way, nor insult you, but I certainly am not doing it. I survived two rounds of COVID, with compromised lungs, and the second time wasn't much worse then a common cold, so I'm certainly not afraid of getting it again. It said this latest booster wasn't tested by the FDA....it was just approved by the Federal Government. So I am leaning towards not getting it this time. I tried calling our doctor this am and couldn't get through. She only works in the mornings.

The VA relaxed their protocols some time ago and so did the state, so we are no longer required to segregate unvaccinated clients from those who are vaccinated. That's great because managing that mandate was a major headache.

On the other hand, I did pick up RSV a few years ago. It was mild. I had symptoms for about 8 hours.

I did get covid a couple months ago. It was nasty. mainly sick to my stomach, and tired. I didn't really get any cold type symptoms. It took a couple of weeks to get back to normal. That declaration by him is more clarifying to me than any "rumor". He is convinced and participates himself in what He promotes as being good for my own welfare. Not much sense in my having a primary physician if I am not going to utilize his knowledge and guidance. I put my trust in his advice and guidance in these matters. These had primary physicians that they also utilized and trusted 2 Ch 16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. Just as she had many physicians Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, Mark 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, I think she was broke because she did not have a good insurance plan and she was nothing better but worse because so many of her physicians were not as smart as the ones we have today. Although I do wonder when she grew worse if it was the long list of nasty side effects which accompanied all of their prescriptions. Which does sort of sound a little like Jer 46:11 when he tells them in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured. In your case though, if your physician advises you to take every booster and vaccination or pill known to man, I believe you should fully submit to those who you trust the most and be a good patient and do so. There's a scripture about trusting man somewhere, I forget where it is though.

I rely on the lead by God to give me good physicians. God has been faithful to do so. 6 hours ago, AFlameOfFire said: In your case though, if your physician advises you to take every booster and vaccination or pill known to man, Seems an overreach, but if that is what is necessary to make a point so be it. Early on in my own relationship with my primary physician He recommended a blood pressure pill. I rejected that recommendation. He asked why. I gave him a fatalistic response of "if I die I die". He said, but what if you do not die, but end up with a dribble cup held under your chin? You are pretty young to have to endure living on with that." I didn't end up with that dribble cup, instead I blew out blood vessels in an eye, destroying part of the retina requiring more than 200 laser blasts to cauterize it all and save some remaining eyesight. Afterward i started taking a simple blood pressure pill. Have now for over 40 years. With that early on experience I decided my primary physician had some good sound advice for me, and for the most part I take it; including getting the then dreaded colonoscopy from a specialist that in my case removed some ten polyps. My wife of 46 years on the other hand stayed with our healthy Bible based extreme dieting, and ended up not having a cancer spotted because she did not have trust in "big medicine". It was a fatal illness, a terrible illness, one that could have been treated if tended to early on. Like the man that said, "This is not my first rodeo", it is not mine either.

Today's adventure- To loosely paraphrase John Paul Jones, no Nathan Hale; I only regret that I have but two arms to present for my shots. JPJ's ship went down, though He survived. I do sure wish I had utilized the drop in no waiting get your latest COVID Booster and Flu shot when I picked up my 90 day supply of blood pressure pills. I think those few minutes would have been a whole lot easier than the now 30 days of illness I am presently experiencing. Am I wondering?- Yes I am wondering,- what was I thinking?! -Even as I go through the latest adventure in this continuing time stealing adventure in illness, - vertigo. I make some of the strangest routes through a room when the vertigo strikes, staggering this way and that like a wild drunk on a binge. Oh give me a shot over this anytime.
