Yet there is a massive amount of disputes over the translation and interpretation of the Bible.

Of some things, yes.  Some are very literal.  They are not the Ten Suggestions.  Genesis 1 is a simple narrative.  The Revelation is full of symbolism.

Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Perhaps you are using a different Bible.

What is your point? Did you watch the cosmos PBS program that talks about how the elements are made in stars. We know God made the sun and the moon and the stars. Science tells us a lot about how God did all of this? Theistic evolution is actually very interesting. We start with hydrogen and helium in the beginning. This is how that works.

Hydrogen and helium transform into heavier elements through a process called nucleosynthesis, which primarily occurs in stars.

My son is a computer engineer working on a factory that make silicon carbide and other  for use in nanotechnology. They are making resisters to use in the electronics of a car.

He is working on quality control so that they will last for the life of the car. Do you trust science when they build you a car to drive. Do you trust them to determine how much you can rely and depend on your car for transportation?

Here’s a brief overview of how it works:

  1. Stellar Nucleosynthesis: In the cores of stars, hydrogen atoms fuse together under extreme temperatures and pressures to form helium. This process releases a tremendous amount of energy, which powers the star. As stars evolve, they can fuse helium into heavier elements like carbon and oxygen through processes such as the triple-alpha process1.

  2. Supernova Nucleosynthesis: When massive stars exhaust their nuclear fuel, they explode in supernovae. These explosions provide the necessary conditions for the formation of even heavier elements, such as iron, gold, and uranium, through rapid neutron capture processes1.

  3. Neutron Star Collisions: Collisions between neutron stars can also create heavy elements. These events are rare but incredibly powerful, producing elements like gold and platinum1.

  4. Cosmic Ray Spallation: High-energy cosmic rays can collide with atoms in space, breaking them apart and forming lighter elements like lithium, beryllium, and boron1.

These processes collectively contribute to the diversity of elements found in the universe today.

Some are very literal.

All of the Bible is literal. What people do not understand is that a day is both 24 hours and billions of years at the same time. It is just too complicated for them to grasp.

Scholars and theologians argue that such an interpretation is not supported by the text itself and requires significant reinterpretation to fit modern scientific knowledge.

So we have to go back 1,000 years to show that the Bible was interpreted this way before science jumped on the bandwagon to support the theology. In this case, we use Einstein special theory of relativity.

We go back to see what people like Maimonides said about this long before modern science came along.

Some people just can not handle a more complicated understanding of the Bible. So that is why we have a literal Bible that even a child can understand.

Yeah, the cool thing about being God is that all He needs to do is say.  He speaks, and things happen.  If He says let there be light, there will be light.

What's really cool is that He does what He does in a way we can understand.

God challenges job on this

Job 38:4, reads, “Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone— while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?”.

The angels and morning stars rejoice in what God is doing. God wants us to know and understand what He is doing. That is why we have out Bible and that is why we have science.

Time, space and matter were created on the first day.  Einstein agreed with God on that one.  Billions of years only exists in science fiction novels.

Christians don't alter God's word to conform to the claims of science.  Science is the study of the natural world.  It can neither prove nor disprove the supernatural.

Except we don't.  God's word is hidden from the godless.  2 Corintians:3-4  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The Bible reveals the nature of our Creator.  Science studies the nature of the creation.  You will never get supernatural revelations from the study of the natural word.

And the Bible confirms that certain science is true before science discovered it.

A lot of Science began as theology. Science just confirms what a lot of people already believe.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
