That would make the nations of GOD, 'in God we trust' America and Britten 'keepers of the faith', part of the nations of the beast, SATAN.  Which is it?  

The BEAST kingdoms ALL rule over JERUSALEM...The GOLD being the 'greatest power and by the time you get to the TOES we are down to clay.  

 

39And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

Again, The bible is about ISRAEL, Gods peoples and nations, and the METALS used tell us about them with GOLD being the most precious with the highest specific gravity at top and the clay with the least, at the bottom.  

what do we KNOW FOR SURE not to change?  no matter how much we think it fits our own 'thoughts'?

I believe they are quite literally two people.  At least that is the way it is written, with no 'figures of speech' being employed to give us cause to go anywhere else, just straightforward words of GOD to follow

There will be NO GATHERING and NO going to heaven BEFORE Christ returns UNLESS you happen to die the first death and FOLLOW HIM, a savour of the living to the living


And CHRIST will sit upon the thone of DAVID right HERE ON EARTH, where the throne of David has always been.

2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. “On the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter must be established.”

 

the two witnesses represent that the action taken was legal  and that action taken was justified against those that appose the kingdom fallowers (Christians)
