Anyone that titles their article like that should be ignored

The "X" in Christmas (Xmas) represents Christ. Chi (X) in the Greek is often used in Greek manuscripts to represent Christ....the entire point of putting the X in Xmas was to shorten it but contain the same meaning.

Just to add to it, the author states that solstice and Saturnalia were December 25....that's wrong....the main event occured December 17...but it also occured over several weeks as well.

Can anyone find in scripture where God says it's okay to adopt pagan customs and practice them in the worship of the true God. I'm talking about for those who say that as long as you put up the Christmas tree in Jesus' name and no other name.

Where in the Word does it say that's ok?

Because I can show you many scriptures that say it's not okay.

If the Word of God says not to adopt the ways of the heathen....along with any other instructions from the Lord regarding pagan practices, why is Christmas an exception?

Please........MUST WE re-hash this same old tired argument every time a Christian holiday comes around?

What with all the stores refusing to acknowledge the word Christmas, and the schools eliminating every and all expressions of Christian faith - to the point of being ridiculous, atheists suing to have the word "God" removed from the public eye, and certain so-called "civil liberties" organizations filing lawsuits to have religious symbols removed from city and state logos and buildings, we should be the last ones to argue like this.

As Christians we just seem to gravitate toward shooting ourselves in the foot, don't we?
