Greetings All,

How about Moses? Moses to the Jews is like Jesus to us. One might conclude that here resides the difference between the "Age of the Law", and our current "Age of Grace".

Also, it has become my understanding and conviction that in the Torah (the Pentateuch or first five books of the Bible) holds the keys to understanding of all the rest of scriptures. I believe that hidden in those 5 books are types and shadows, that if properly understood will help us to interpret what the scriptures say all the way to the very end. Moses is the key, Jesus is the Way.

Let me hear what you have to say and then I will add some comments of my own.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Greetings,

Moses said:

Exodus 8:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Jesus said:

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Moses delivered Israel from Bondage:

Amos 3:2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth:....

Jesus delivers "whomsoever will" from Bondage:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Moses gave us the law:

Deut 5:7-21

Jesus gave us the beatitudes:

Mt. 5:3-12

Moses led his people into the desert:

Exo 5:3

Jesus sends the church into the wilderness:

Rev 9:6

From Moses came the Levitical Priesthood:

Exo 38:21

From Jesus came the Church:

Mt. 16:18 & Acts 11:26

How many more comparisons can you make?

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Thank you Dad Ernie,

God had his hands on Moses even before he was born, can you imagine you being found in a basket in the water by a Princess and the life he had when he grew up?

But he kept faithful to God and never looked down at his family or God.

God prepared him to do big things for him, but he had his weaknesses just like us, he didn't think he could speak good enough when God told him to go to Pharaoh, he killed somebody to protect his people, lots of things went on in his life, it would not have been boring!!~

But Moses had a willing heart for God, So the Lord uses him in a mighty way.

Anybody add to this before we go to the next person?

Angels4u

Maybe we can take turns?? Anybody want to take a turn?>

Greetings Angels4u,

I believe it is in Luke where it says that if all the books that could be written, was written, the whole world could not contain them. I don't think we want to take that big of a bite. It is better we keep it simple.

Also you may want to add more to the characters that have already been discussed. It seems to me that much more could be gleaned.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie
