Mohammed said he had the Angel Gabriel visited him.

THrough this man, the religeon of islam is growing huge in Eastern countries.

Why?

If I said I had angelic visitations, and wanted to set up my own worship, then I'd have a terrible time trying to convince people that it "worked".

How come islam was a huge boom??

(I had better not say "success"!)

Galatains 1:6-9

6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel

Dare I mention Swedenborg? He has the explanation of "permitted religions" that teach of God instead of atheism. Divine Providence always plays a hand.

Yomo,

Joseph Smith claimed that he was visited by Gabriel too; and also that he was visited by God the Father and Jesus Christ.

It's not hard to fathom that some would chose to take another way than that which was established by God in the garden, because the fact is that mankind from the very first generation has sought to make his own way instead of taking God's way.

In Genesis God slew an animal and used the skin to make coats for the naked and fallen Adam and Eve. We do not know for certain, but it can be pretty safely speculated that that animal was a lamb. In any case, that first slaying - that first shedding of blood - set forth God's pattern of redemption. From that time forward the only true covering for sin was through the shedding of blood. This can be seen in the first offering made by Abel.

What can also be seen in the account of the first offering was man's desire to take a way of redemption that was apart from God's established pattern. Cain offered the firstfruits of the fields to God. Instead of taking God's way Cain took his own way, imagining in his mind that such an offering was "good enough" for God. But the offense was not so much in the sacrifice itself as it was in Cain's heart. God's desire has always been that man take Him as his way, and that he would have a heart only for Him and for His way.

All the false religions, therefore, have the same common denominator: That being the taking of another way, instead of that which God has established.

Another issue is, of course, that of pride. Of course pride is also the source of that desire to take one's own way instead of God's way. In order to take God's way one must humble themselves before Him, and be willing to become nothing - like the ashes upon the altar of sacrifice. Pride rebels against humility. Pride tells us that we need God for nothing, that we are self-sufficient, and that we can make our own way without God's leading, and without conformity to His ways.

So, because of pride mankind has, from the beginning, sought his own way. He has sought to exalt himself above the earth, and become equal to God (Which was first seen in Babylon).

In his efforts to rule over the earth, and become an equal with God, man has created various religions. The various religions have, in one way or another, claimed to represent God's way, but in reality it is just man's way apart from him; and in his pride and the self-centered exaltation of himself, man has used the name of God and the claim to his representation.

With respect to Islam, Muhammed very likely was seeking to exalt himself - to make a name for himself in a region that was largely populated by small tribes of nomadic traders. If you examine the history from critical sources, you will find that, in fact, Muhammed, used his created religion Islam, to advance himself to a position of high authority - even to a godlike status in fact - and for the satiation of his fleshly desires. Islam initially did not advance in peace with a message of peace and prosperity. It advanced itself in blood and conquest, and for the sake of a man who would become a god.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
