The unpardonable sin was the pharisees were saying that the works of Jesus (casting out a demon)was done by the Devil and not the Holy Spirit. In can be found in Matthew 12:22-32.

Jesus explains it very clearly-it is not hard to understand.

They must be told what the unpardonable sin is. And we must restore them-by telling them of their need to repent of their sins and transform their minds with the word of God. And tell them that God forgives and forgets.

As far as the east is from the west-that is how far he removes our transgressions.

Our salvation affects our spirit but it doesn't change our mind-thoughts, etc. We must put on the mind of Christ.

They have not committed it if they ask. Commission turns the person over to reprobate mind. At that point, they would not care. They would not be asking if they committed it because they would not care.

I felt this captured it really well..

then I would encourage them to tell the Lord what was in their heart..

that they were grieved they had sinned against God and repented of their evil actions..

and ask His forgiveness..

Then I would tell them

"If we confess our sin God is faithful and just to forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness"..

and give them hugs and cry with them and rejoice with them that God is so merciful to not leave us in our sin.... :)

they can bask in the joyous forgiveness of their sins and get up and rejoice in His great mercy..

It is done...go and sin no more...

hr.jr.,

I was refering to the original question if someone believes themselves to have committed the unpardonable sin.

1. They must have the knowledge of what Jesus said is the unpardonable sin.

(most have not)

2. We need to lead them to Christ by repentance of anyother sins that are holding

them captive

3. They must realize that God-when he forgives-it is a finished act.

4. We must tell them to renew there minds with the word of God.

I Should have separated my post-i made it confusing-sorry

Blessings

Candi

"satan convicting us" I agree with that statement, it's a turning point in a christians life, either you freak out when you see that verse, and seek help or you let it beat you up, and you walk away from God. I can still remember when I went through this, just remember, that only by the Spirit can you say that Jesus is Lord.
