it seems that everytime i get two steps forward, i go three steps back. sometimes i get so frustrated i'm afraid i'm going to blow this opportunity to witness to her. she believes in the OT prophecies of the messiah, she just doesn't believe Jesus was it. she believes that messianic jews are no longer jews because they worship more than one god... but if she believes that the messiah is still going to come, how can not believe that God is multi-dimensional (i.e. the trinity). she believes that the first coming of the messiah will usher in world peace, while we know that occurs when the messiah RETURNS.

she also believes that a baby has no soul til it has taken its first breath (something she said during a discussion on partial birth abortions).

how can someone who believes the OT disregard so much of what it says? to make matters worse, although she identifies herself as a jew (her father is jewish), her mother is catholic and so she spent much of her youth in a catholic private school. so she thinks she has studied the prophecies AND the new testament and therefore has solid basis for rejection of christianity.

and how do i witness to her without turning her away?

Wow... that is tough, especially with the background she is from! Hopefully someone will have more expertise than myself to help you.

My only suggestion, would be to present what you know of Christianity to her, be that "living example" of it to her, combined with loads of love! Your witness is one of the biggest and most important examples you can give to her.

I will be praying for you that our Lord will give what you need to carry out your task!

Blessings ~

Unfortionately that peace she is looking for will be so temporary and under the antichrist.

I pray for you to have wisdom in witnessing to this person. You really are in a tough situation. :prayer

Greetings~

I believe you should continue showing her the love of Jesus The Christ, which resides in your heart.

And let YHVH (G-D) take care of the rest.

Pray for the Peace of Israel!

You could point out how in the OT where it says "The Lord our God is one God", what the Bible really says in the original Hebrew is: "The Lords our Gods are one God!" But they always misquote it and it is even mistranslated in our translations of the Bible, sad to say. The original Hebrew used the Elohim Adoni and Elohim is the plural form of God! Whenever you put that "im" or "em" on the end of a Hebrew word it's plural!

"For unto us A CHILD IS BORN, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." (Isa.9:6--750 B.C)

"WHO hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? WHO hath gathered the wind in His fist? WHO hath bound the waters in a garment? WHO hath established all the ends of the earth? WHAT IS HIS NAME AND WHAT IS HIS SON'S NAME, if thou canst tell?" (Prov.30:4)

THIS SHOWS THAT THE ANCIENT JEWS, UNLIKE THE MODERN ONES, BELIEVED THAT GOD HAD A SON--Who was to be born of the flesh Whom the prophecy said was to be called "The mighty God."

I commend you for caring enough to reach her.

You have hit on the most important element though. Let God guide you!

It doesn't hurt to know the various prophecies but she is more likely to be reached by seeing "something" in you over the long term because she comes from such a deep religious background.

When she NEEDS to know God, she will remember that you do...so pray for her often...and be a true friend. She will let you know when she's ready. There is really nothing you can do to "save" her that you haven't already done.

I just prayed for your friend also....and am anticipating the good report in the near future.

If she will ever be convinced, it will be by your deeds not by what you say.

I would think that both would be necessary.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

The way you live may be an attraction, but ultimately they will have to hear and believe on Christ as the messiah, or at least that He could be.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
