Hi Wisdom,

Henry blackeby wrote "Knowing and doing the will of God"

I am doing a workbook from him.

He also wrote daily devotion books ,I find it very deep and practical, he helps you to get a closer relationship with God.

You can also look for his website on the comp.

The other books are fiction."Mark of the Lion" books from Francis Rivers are soooooooo gooooooood!!!!!!!!

I love to read, mostly non fiction, but one in awhile I enjoy a nice fiction book. The books  from Tim laHey are getting too long ,there is no end to it,too expensive to keep buying them. I'm glad I didn't start buying them.

I promised myself that I would take my time reading the latest Left Behind book, Desecration. I convinced myself that I would take a month or longer to read it so that I wouldnt have to wait that long for the next installment.

Unfortunately, I finshed the book in two days!

But June isnt that far off, is it?

Hey Wisdom,

Now that I've convinced you to read "Fresh Power" I hope that you enjoy it or I'll feel really bad !  ;)

One of my all-time favorites is "In His Steps" and it's modern day counterpart  "What Would Jesus Do?"

Right now I'm kind of in the middle of 3 or 4 books, a "Cult" series, explaining different cults and their beliefs...

"In The Eye of The Storm"  by Max Lucado

"Billy Graham" (his life story)

Mark Lowry's books are great for easy reading/laughs.  I read one when I was in college and my roommate often wondered about me, I'd just laugh and laugh at the stories Mark would tell.

:)

Yeah,

I really have enjoyed Max Lucado's books, at first I didn't even want to give them a try, I tend to be kind of ornery in that if it's "popular" I don't usually read it.  But, once I began to read his books, I understood why they were popular, he really does have a way with words!

I'm glad you posted "Mel".  I started to put it that way in one of the earlier posts back to you, but I didn't want to offend.  A friend of our family has a daughter name Melanie, who goes by the nickname, "Mel".  I then am assuming it's safe to do so with you?:):)

Max Lucado DOES have a way with words!  What I like most is he never takes the credit for it.  He KNOWS where is power base of wisdom is!

Did you ever read any of TD Jakes books?  I've found them to be outstanding.  He steadfastly holds to the Word, but with a blue collar mentality.  I like that because it becomes more REAL TO ME.
