FATHER, thank YOU for this sink of dirty dishes; we have plenty of food to eat. Thank YOU for this pile of dirty, stinky laundry; we have plenty of nice clothes to wear. And I would like to thank YOU, FATHER, for those unmade beds; they were so warm and comfortable last night.

I know that many have no bed. My thanks to YOU, LORD, for this bathroom, complete with all the splattered mess, soggy, grimy towels and dirty lavatory; they are so convenient. Thank YOU for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs defrosting so badly; it has served us faithfully for many years. It is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals.

Thank YOU, LORD, for this oven that absolutely must be cleaned today; it has baked so many things over the years. The whole family is grateful for that tall grass that needs mowing, the lawn that needs raking; we all enjoy the yard. Thank YOU, FATHER, even for that slamming screen door. My kids are healthy and able to run and play. LORD, the presence of all these chores awaiting me says YOU have richly blessed my family. I shall do them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully.

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings, thank YOU LORD, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf. Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible, Thank YOU, FATHER, that I can see. Many are blind. Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising, thank YOU LORD that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned and tempers are short, my children are so loud, thank YOU FATHER for my family. There are many who are lonely. Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in magazines and the menu is at times not balanced, thank YOU LORD for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job is often monotonous, thank YOU, FATHER, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job. Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest, thank YOU LORD for LIFE!

***HAPPY THANKSGIVING, in CHRIST***

What a beautiful prayer. You do know how to get to a person don't you? I must remember this prayer not only on Thanksgiving when there is a mess, but everyday of the year. Thank You Wisdom for posting this wonderful prayer.

-What a beautiful prayer--as always my beloved Brother wisdom has touched my heart with truth &

"wisdom"-------I will enjoy so much our meeting when our LORD & SAVIOUR returns for HIS saints--

SO many Brothers & sisters have taught me so much---Their walk with the LORD is so evident &

"that" walk i am continually trying to emulate{but i fail-miserably- i'm sorry to say}----Their "walk"

is so awesome, inspiring, & encouraging-------sorry--more "ranting" i guess-----------

Gary and Pat........ :exclaimation:

Rant on Gary, because you and I carry the same story. I know your struggle, that's why I believe our FATHER gravitated me towards you. Our temperment is (was) similar, and I can appreciate the honesty of your posts. I see a sincerity in you (hidden in humor) although we've never met face-to-face.....I know you! So continue to "rant on" bruh. It's music to my ears. *smile* I too am NOT the smartest Christian on this Board or in the world.....But I'm faithful to our FATHER, and so are you.

Pat, you honor our FATHER with your words...always so sweet and kind. Gary married a winner, and it will be my privilege to meet you and him in our Heavenly Home. You always represent the Body of CHRIST well in all that you say on this Board! Thank you for being a truly righteous Beacon and ray of SONshine....*smile*

Read it again and again, and DON'T forget to give your verticle Thanks to our FATHER for each and everything you have, especially what you take for granted. DON'T wait until Thanksgiving Day to do what should be a daily action. Tomorrow is promised to no one!

On this Thanksgiving Day it is my personal prayer that each and everyone of you will remember to be THANKFUL for BOTH the good and the bad things our FATHER has allowed to pass into and out of YOUR life.

Be thankful for the home you currently reside in. It may be little, medium, or big...but the important thing is GOD gave it to you, so be thankful for it. Be thankful for the breath of life that is in YOU this day. You didn't have to wake up from your sleep last night. Be thankful you can walk, talk, and see this day unfold. There are many among us who cannot.

Thank GOD for the tough times HE brings into YOUR life....they will only draw YOU closer to HIM. Thank GOD for the children (including grandchildren, neices/nephews) HE has blessed YOU to bear or see....these are a GIFT from HIM to YOU. Be thankful if none of them is involved in drugs, alcohol, gangs or trouble of any type, and if so, be thankful for having a GOD on YOUR side WHO can resolve ANY such problems!

Thank our FATHER for whatever spiritual gifts YOU have....be thankful YOU have been privilege by such to help the Body of CHRIST grow and further spread the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST, and HIS soon to be return!

BE THANKFUL for WHATEVER your status is today, if you are a child of GOD through faith in JESUS CHRIST, knowing that our FATHER is involved in every endeavor of YOUR life, and that it is HE WHO orders ALL of your steps. Be Thankful as YOU REMEMBER how far HE has brought YOU up to this day!

Be Thankful for the trials and tribulations HE has allowed into your life to develop YOU more and more into the image of HIS SON....our LORD/SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. Most important....when you hear (or give) the blessing over the food this day BE THANKFUL that GOD has given YOU the privilege to come before HIM in prayer, and think about everything HE has done for you even though YOU have been undeserving!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
