I have been gathering with those who truly "call on the name of the Lord out of a pure heart" since January 2005 (2 Timothy 2:22 Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart). I believe I've mentioned how the Lord led me to these people...I had prayed that I could be a true worshipper; one who worships the Father in spirit and in truth (john 4:24). The Lord answered this prayer in a strong way; I prayed for his Word to happen in me.

This church is in what's known as the Lord's Recovery which the Lord began in Watchman Nee. The Recovery Bible from which I have been reading contains footnotes from the studies of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. This has greatly opened my eyes to see the present truth in this age.

Just curious Felix, but what "truths" have you found in the "Recovery Version" that cought your eyes and heart, that are not contained in the KJV? Or are you saying that , the book you are reading merely give better explanation and insight?

Curious

Cajun,

"Truths" or revelations is what I have gained abundantly from the footnotes in the Recovery Version. The footnotes, or commentaries, comes from the ministry set out in Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. The translation in the Recovery Version is also key to understanding many verses. For instance, I believe it corrects the captalizations of the word "Spirit" and "spirit" which the KJV erroneously translates.

I cannot say that there is a better translation of the bible. The debates over which translation is the absolute literal word of God is silly. People forget that there are different languages where you simply cannot translate the exact conotation and denotation of words. For example, the NIV in english and chinese is totally different. So even within one translation of the bible (ie NIV)...translating it into different languages makes it yet another translation. So then...is there a better language?

In all simplicity, if you want the best translation of the bible then learn to read Hebrew and Greek, the original old and new testament language. For me as a teenager, I read from the NIV, ASB, NKJV and KJV. The NIV translation of the old testament I believe is very good. For in depth study the KJV I have is useful because it has a hebrew and greek concordance. Yet in all these things it is not the translation of the Word itself that gives us the revelation of God in His Word...it is through the Holy Spirit that we can understand these spiritual truths. For the Scribes and Pharisees in Jesus's time on earth did not see the Son of God. Let us not be like the Scribes and Pharisees today.

I find that the Recovery Version is the present truth in this age, under the guiding of the Holy Spirit...just as the times of KJV and Darby were. Jesus Christ is living today, He is not stagnant and dead like the gods of other religions. The Lord is moving and we need to see it. Without a vision the people perish (prov 29:18). This is the function of the apostles and prophets today.

Praise the Lord and may He fulfill the work started in us.

It may be just the way you have written this and if so great just ignore my coments. \ But this is just off the mark enough, to set of an alarm bell. If what i'm saying is what you meant to write then great stuff. If not then here goes. I have read whatch nee's book The normal christian life and you seem to have missed the piont. nee was saying that the scriptuers are a manaul for learning how to opreate in your spirit man not an interpritaion of sriptures, he was pionting people to christ, not the scrpitures. there comes a time when you must put down the scriptures and learn to live on the living word instead. And this is what he was getting at.

Stafy,

What you're saying is what I meant. The Words the Lord Jesus spoke to us are spirit and life; spiritual manna for us today. Those who are in the Recovery should surely know this. I hope that those who have never heard of the Lord's Recovery or read Watchman Nee's books would consider it.

John 6:63

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
