I well understand the "types" idea that you refer to Dad Ernie. And I understand what George is saying about the order of the priesthood leaving the sons of Aaron and being transferred to Christ.

That's also what Hebrews 7 Scripture declares about Christ becoming a High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Yet the Levitical priesthood was still... in Abraham's loins when Melchizedek blessed Abraham. The sons of Aaron weren't ordained yet, which would happen many years later:

Heb 7:8-10

8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Jesus of Nazareth declared the following to the scribes and Pharisees which obviously didn't grasp that 'everlasting' sense of the Hebrews 7:3 verse...

John 8:56-58

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad.

57 Then said the Jews unto Him, "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast Thou seen Abraham?"

58 Jesus said unto them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

The "I AM" is part of The Sacred Name our Heavenly Father revealed to Moses (Exo.3). So why simply key on that phrase "made like" which does mean to assimilate closely. What of the rest of that Heb.7:3 verse which gives descriptions of Melchizedek being without mother or father, and without beginning of days nor end of life?

I hope you're not saying that The Christ never existed in Spirit prior to His birth through Mary's womb. If so, then I'd like to know which "Yashua" you all have chosen to believe on.

Heb 1:1-2

1 God, Who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds;
