Isnt is strange that no matter how much God blesses us, how much He rewards us or how faithful He is we sometimes still find it hard to have faith enough to believe that He will come through?

I for one have witnessed amazing things. My hands were healed when I was young, I have seen manafestations that are quite real and also seen "God hating" friends come around and give their lives. You would think my faith is unshakable. You would be so wrong.

Often we have proof and still we doubt (to a degree). Why do you think this is?

I just cant help feeling guilty. Its like a great friend that has never let you down but when things look like they are turning against you you question him. I guess I just dont want to hurt God.

The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

Look at Peter. He sat at the Master's Feet and yet he denied Christ. He saw Moses , and Elijah talking with Jesus and yet he denied Christ. He walked on water too...

Don't feel so guilty. We always doubt a little..it's human nature.

Ask and ye shall receive. Talk to God about this and see what He does. :emot-questioned:

Romans 8:1 G-d is mightier than your humanity. Also, this is what agape love is all about: G-d loves whether or not you return that love in kind; you can't do anything to make Him love you less or make Him love you more!

Sean, I think Sin may cause it and the sorrow is a gift from The Holy Spirit and is part of repentance.

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Corinthians 7:10)

Love, Joe

Immediately the father of the boy cried out, "I do believe! Help my unbelief."

Butler - may I ask what the circumstances are that have lead to this doubt?

I find lately that when I start doubting.... it's a sure sign I'm on the right track...

How's that?!

Doubting feels very much like satan's work. Why would satan bother with me unless I was on the right path? :whistling:

What I'm eyeing within your post is the phrase, 'He will come through?' The reason why is because God doesn't always come through the way we want or expect Him to so in that sense He doesn't 'come through' but He is always in control. :21:
