feeling luke warm

Just remember that our relationship with God should never be based on feelings and emotions. What a fickle gauge our feelings can be, so don't lean on them. God's Word and promises should always be above our feelings. Even if we don't feel it, it doesn't change the fact that we're born again and our names are written in the Book of Life. The reason Christ died for us is because we are hopeless sinners destined to go to hell. He did not die for us to give us warm fuzzies or so that we'll have a permanent smile on our faces or so that we're always walking on cloud 9. While there is much to celebrate and be happy about being God's child, that is not what our faith is based on. Be content with the facts as stated in the Bible. Feelings change, emotions come and go. It doesn't change the Truth.

Remember how I said that I was neither up nor down and just existing thru life and not living?

Maybe I should have been a tad more specific with my prayers.

For the last few days, I have been on an extreme emotional rollercoaster.

Ok, I am not luke warm. I am either HOT or COld constantly.

My emotions are going back and forth from the extremes.

Let God know exactly what your wants are.

I've been in a funk lately.

Feeling really luke warm. No highs and no lows.

No abundance of joy, no abundance of sorrow.

Just feel like I'm going through the motions of living.

Dunno.

Am I alone in this?

Has anyone ever felt like this before?

"Lukewarm" is a term used for people who have accepted what they consider to be "just a small sin" into their lives to appease the masses, not a "ho-hum" or bland period. Yeah, we all have a "funk" period, we'd be lying if we said we didn't.
