This will probably get moved to the "advice" thread at some point (assuming the mods can do that on this board).

Sorry that you're having a rough time at school. It's easy to tell you to ignore it, but not so easy to put into practice.

Just remember, you have Jesus as a friend, and the rest of us, too. If anyone else has a problem with you, let it be their problem, not yours. And remember to "pray for those that persecute you." Nothing turns enemies to friends better than prayer.

I don't understand what you are so upset about? :24: Who cares what people say about you? :) Worry more about what the Lord says to you, and thinks about you than people. He is eternal, they are not. :24:

Hi "D"

If you start noticing these quirps about people at a young age, you're setting yourself up for failure! You should expect it firstly because you are a "Child of God anyway." This is what sets us apart from the "secular" world dear heart. I have grown to use these emotions and opinions from others as a "monitor" to determine and remind me that "I belong to Jesus" and not the "world!" It's a pretty well devised "indicator" from God , if you allow it to be and if you realize it for what it is. I know you're at a very impressionable age sweetheart, but always remember.....God don't make junk. I'm 55 yrs old and always "reinventing" myself. You will find in time that "when you learn to trust God to provide for all your needs and wants," HE WILL ! But it will only happen in HIS time, and not ours! The main thing that you have to focus on is that, 1)others are noticing you because YOU BELONG TO GOD, AND THAT SETS US APART FROM ALL THE OTHERS. You will probably note that if you run into another "Christian" or "follow of God" you don't get the same response or inner feeling about that particular person. It's not by accident, and these are the souls you want to "chummy" or hang with and focus on. These are the ones whom God will send to you with those special messages for you and help support your being.

You are at a very impressionable age and you are inclined to notice all these things from everyone....and your Physical self is just beginning to develop and adjust. And don't forget those "hormones." They can do great harm in affecting your emotions as well dear.

Mainly, you must never forget.......God don't make junk! You are special. I don't have but a few great friends about this time in my life, and my life is kind of dormant as well, but I know that God is my very best Friend, and if I didn't have that to rely on in life, I would have failed a long, long time ago.....Because of HIM and what HIS SON did for each of us, I know I now have another wonderful life to look foward to.....Now I ask you, what would you rather have.....The best looks in the world and everyone's approval.........Or God's divine approval for your life with the added benefit of knowing that you will also be with HIM and all of us for an eternity????? Not a very difficult decision to make is it???? lol.

In God's love

I'm really tempted to say, "Get used to it!" But really, when you get a few more years behind you, you will realize that what people think of you does not impact you in any way. Be who you are, not who people want you to be. At your age, you should be loving life, laughing and having a ball.

Teenagers can be so harsh to each other.

And because your seeking wisdom from God, you're probably trying really hard not to retaliate, when that's all you really want to do.

I can't tell you why they are bullying you...have you heard this one yet? "They're doing it because they're jealous." What a load! People do mean things all the time, and they aren't really thinking about how mean they are being to you, they're probably just thinking how good it makes them look (when really it just makes them look like jerks).

I can tell you that the majority of the people who make fun of you at school right now, are going to be the ones who peak in high school. How sad! To live out your glory days when you're a teenager. For those of us who are average, we were tormented in high school, and then we went on to excell in the real world.

So...chin up. It's gonna seem unbearable at times, but it gets so much better! Find a group of friends who like you for who you are and enjoy your high school years with them. And then graduate and show the others how awesome you really are!!

It is hard to deal with the constant insults put upon us by others who just like to be mean. The fact they realize you get annoyed by it only further encourages them to get you. You will have to ignore it and when they realize it doesn't bother you they will stop. Until then expect them to be like that.

I used to fight for insulting me at school, I thought it was a way of earning everyone else's respect, but no matter how many little battles I had to fight with either words or fists there were plenty more people to torment me.

I had a twin brother and they would always say he and I were gay incestuous lovers. He was a little more passive than me about that, but I didn't have it in me to tolerate that kind of defamation and slander.

Like some other posters have said, school will be hard and cruel and there's not a whole lot you can do about it. Find a group of friends you feel comfortable around and who will support you when you are having one of those days. These people have reached the socialite status in high school, but from that pedestal they stand, it's only downhill for them and you will see it when your class reunion comes around. Right now, you are still ascending to the top, it may be a longer, tougher climb than what they had, but at least you're still moving up.

High School will be meaningless to you once you graduate and leave the clowns behind. Just don't let them shape your character or take away your self-confidence (dignity), I have problems speaking in front of audiences because no one at school ever took what I had to say seriously.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
