we ALL go through that. sometimes i get so mad i just wait for the moderators to delete my post. other times i'll edit my own post after posting it. still other times, and this one is important, (and one i've seen many other people do also), i'll post an apology for my attitude... or send a pm of apology.

the best thing to do though, when you feel yourself getting all bent out of shape, is to take a break from the board for a day or a week or even longer if necessary. otherwise you'll find your anger spilling out at your friends and family.

Will - You Are So Loved!

Will - Beloved of The Lord!

The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3

Sad Soul

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Psalms 42:5

Shout

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psalms 35:27

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Numbers 6:24-26

Hey bro.!

It's all good... we all have tongues and to speak life to all those who have listening ears all the time isn't quite realistic.

Let's break it down to the best of my own understanding.

I have a verbally abusive dad come to understand... he seems to be the only one in the family who reserves the right to be angry, complain, or just have a bad day.

While the rest of us suffer for protecting his stress levels, some very bad things come about.

Scriptures talk of how the tongue can speak life or death to all those around you with listening ears, and as far understand the sword of the spirit(tongue) can be double-edged and it's a very very very important aspect our identity to learn to control, because out of our mouths comes every sort evil or good that is our hearts.

Renew our minds by feeding them healthy beliefs, which for the most part is extremely difficult to do if your couch potato or saturating your mind with pretty much anything other than the word of life, from the author of life, and creator of life.

My suggestion to you is simply get to understand yourself, analyse your motives for doing or sayig the things that you know are wrong, and train yourself to develop healthy attitudes/beliefs. They say it takes 21 days of primarily working on and imprinting a new belief or habbit into our minds. After that keep going, and find other beliefs that has to be renewed to what is true and noble, praise worthy, and good.

I've not yet obtained my goals in life either bro. so take heart nobody's perfect; otherwise Christ wouldn't have had to die the debt for all of us. We all fall short so there's no feasable reason for us to beat ourselves up, just do what you can, and leave the rest to Jesus.

Love ya bro. and may GOD Bless You!

Hi All,

I am new to this board, but have experience in using message boards, I also understand about the emotional tangles. I can be very snappy and get angry with someone for something trivial. I think the best advise I was ever given to help with my anger and snappy messages and chat, was this:

Write your message in a word processor on your computer. Look at it, read it, edit it, save it. Come back to it 24 hours later, re-read it, edit it. Do this all week,iIf you still feel the same a week later post. If not, delete it, nothing lost. But I guarentee this, what you end up with will be more positive and sound less aggressive so much so it may even seem pointless.

I hope this is some help.

John

Where there is faith, there is love,

Where there is love, there is peace,

Where there is peace, there is God.

Where there is God, there is no need.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
