Hey Keygar!

I'm like you; I am getting to really detest commercial TV. Let's compare DVD collections sometime. I'm gonna have to build a separate house just for them! I tell you, we buy whole seasons of good, clean, edifying shows all the time. Gilligan, Have Gun Will Travel, wow...you cannot beat them.

Welcome to Worthy, by the by. :wub:

:24::emot-hug: we were the odd family when my children were young as we were the ONLY family in the area that did not have a tv set .

One of my children was given a homework assignment where she had to watch a programme and write up a synopsis of it ...her teacher did not believe that she didnt have a tv in the house and I had the greatest of pleasures in writing a letter back to said teacher telling her that we did NOT in fact have one and even if we had acquired one the programme she wanted my child to watch ( a soap ) was one of the reasons that I refused to have a tv set in the house :o

Oh and just for the recored the reason you cannot post in some of the forums is because you do not have enough posts :noidea:

I enjoy various TV shows...but I'm careful about what I watch. I even find myself kinda tickled by a commercial every now and then.

There is nothing new under the sun. Older TV programs could be just as bad as newer ones. Now its just High Definition garbage. :24:

We just do the DVD thing, which also has its pitfalls. At least there are no commercials. I have a small collection of inspiring African American history movies.

Here is a test for our TV viewing (for everyone here to try);

The next time we're watching TV and we see a man or woman immodestly dressed...turn off the TV for an hour.

The next time we're watching TV and we hear a cuss word or the Lord's name taken in vain...turn off the TV for an hour.

The next time we're watching TV and we see alcohol or drugs being glorified...turn off the TV for an hour.

The next time we're watching TV and we see graphic violence...turn off the TV for an hour.

Question is...how much TV would you end up watching?

I shall not put any wicked thing before mine eyes...
