I don't know about Hindus, but devout Muslims feel as though they have a personal relationship with God (Allah).

I have the understanding that devout Muslims do not believe a personal relationship with God is possible.

"But in the orthodox understanding of Islam, no human truly develops a personal relationship with Allah. This God exists far above His creations, judging, but also leading, humankind. Allah is never called 'Father.' " RE: Islam, Allah and Prayer

by Helene Ciaravino

So I still believe that is the key. A true believer has a personal relationship with God unlike all others who do not.

Thank you very much everyone for the answers, and especially to Wayne B. and ParanoidAndroid. I agree with PA, the arguments about Jesus being Saviour are great theologically, but it's not me I need to convince.

And since there was a bit about Buddhism mentioned, I'll clear up why I didn't mention it. I don't consider Buddhism to be a religion. It is a philosophy about how to live and isn't entirely wrong. Concepts such as a middle way (that is, give what you can, but don't give so much that it kills you because then you are useless) arn't so bad. After all, if I give away everything I ever earn and then die of starvation, I'm not going to be able to help God while dead.

God Bless,

Keilan

the difference is budda and muhammed didn't and coudln't die for the sins of all their people because of the incredible love they have for them.

Not to mention they can't (or give their followers the power to) cast out demons, heal the sick, speak in new tongues, prophesy, etc.... :24:

This actually reminds me of a quote attributed to Buddha.

One of his students asked Buddha, "Are you the messiah?"

"No", answered Buddha.

"Then are you a healer?"

"No", Buddha replied.

"Then are you a teacher?" the student persisted.

"No, I am not a teacher."

"Then what are you?" asked the student, exasperated.

"I am awake", Buddha replied.

Thanks glory, I doubt that will convince them, but then again, very little will.

You're right, keilanS, it probably won't convince them. But it just might give them something to think about. ;)

Christ Rose from the grave, and assended in to Heaven.....

none of the others did at all.... they all stayed in their graves and are still there.....

Christ Died for your sins, none of the others did.....

Christ is the One and Only True Son of God......
