When have Democrats ever tried to take your guns away? The only restriction that I can remember Democrats ever pushing was the assault weapons ban.

They've always been the party of "gun control".

You konw why don't ya!? they don't like living in fear of the citizens. A secure society is one where the government not only fears its citizens, but that the citizens are empowered to back up that fear!

I'm very pleased to learn that civilian wedapons outnumnber that of government and the military. Don't get me wrong folks, I'm not in favor of gun weilding idiots and I deplore violent crime, but it's my guess that an educated gun owner would make more than the taliban think twice before trying to pull off a coup. This could possibly explain why the democrats are always trying to take our weapons away.

If the anti-gun folks wish to fear something, fear the honey tongued politician who would tell whatever lie you wanted to hear, for the oppourtunity to RULE over you.

Since the military uses assault rifles that have a range of 400 yards, to kill people, then, there's not much difference in that and a regular hunting rifle. They just look different, but function the same.

Do you even know what a assault weapon is according to the democrats?

I'll tell ya, i can take a plain jane .22 rifle, add a flash suppressor, folding stock, larger magazine, uhmm a handle style grip on the barrel, scope, an you have an assault weapon as per defined by the democrats bill.

Its still just a .22, just looks meaner!

Also, 30-06, is technically an assault weapon according to their description. So is just about ANY rifle that isn't a bolt action weapon.

Furthermore, we already have laws, and a ton of them concerning automatic weapons, and assault weapons are NOT automatic weapons! So why are they even attacking the assault weapons!? The reason is they are systematically attacking certain weapons, in order to totally disarm this country.

Last of all, why does a assault weapon concern you!? All it takes is 1 bullet in the head to dispatch someone. shrug, i can do that with a shotgun or a knife, or a hammer, or a shovel, or even kill them with antifreeze, arsenic, or even water!

You are being fed a whole lot of lies when they say assault weapons are killing devices to kill masses of people. They are single shots, not automatic. They are just dressed up to look meaner.

Going by this site, I am sure glad I live in a country with gun control. Do you realize that the US has 27 times as many murders with firearms as the UK? And over 5 times as many as in Canada?

Now, just to make sure I don't come across as skewing facts, you do have 3 times the overall murder rate of both the UK and Canada, so you have to divide those numbers by 3 to get an accurate number of how many more firearm related murders you have. Although that still means you have 9 times as many as the UK and almost 2 times as many as Canada. Another thing that should be noted is this isn't necessarily just gun control. Maybe the US just has a violence problem, rather than a gun problem.

Well geee, ya think!?? The US has 27 times the population that GB has, and 10 times the population that Canada has. that skews the facts drastically.

I understand that, and I disagree with them on it. However, their version of gun control is the assault weapons ban and background checks. This whole "take our guns away" nonsense is just a tactic to scare up votes.
