The Follow bible study was done by a friend of mine who looked to the Old Testament for the deity of our LORD Jesus Christ. I thought it was very valuable information and study. Let me know what you all think.

The Messiah

Depending on your faith and environment, the name invokes different thoughts and visions:

Some Jews believe there is a possibility of a messiah for each generation: Moses, Sampson, Elijah, ect

An in-depth study of the Old Testament showing how Jesus is frequently mentioned in the OT, just not by the name that Mary gave Him at the Father's request (Jesus). Quite instructive, but it seems a tad too long as the point was proven about half way through the post.

This should be helpful to those wishing to dig deeper into the Old Testament for the appearances of Jesus in various situations within the only Scriptures available before the death of Jesus. The Hebraic viewpoint, as opposed to a Gentile viewpoint, of the original Hebrew is refreshing and adds to the authenticity of the Bible study.

Although this may not be an exhaustive word study of the Son of God within the Old Testament, it is as exhaustive a word study as I have ever encountered. For the scholars amoung us, there is much meat here to feast on. For those who are not into the scholarly study, there is ample proof here that Jesus is indeed mentioned in the Old Testament frequently but according to His position in the Trinity, the Son of God, as opposed to his familial name given to Him by His mother, Mary.
