Ok. Could you please tell me where you got this source of information please? Because I am myself an American it wouldpain me greatly to know this was real. So unless this source is reliable I would put as much stock in it as I would Martha Stewarts company which is zilch.

First, as PapasAngel asked, I'd like to see the source of this information. One should never post something so provacative without citing a source.

But eveb if this comes from a credible source, this certainly does not mean that the US is developing biological weapons forr use. It means that we are developing biological weaopons in an attempt to predict what might be used and provide a method to minimize any problems if an attack were to happen.

which is a site called MotherJones.com. The author of the article is Michael Scherer.

I've never heard of this site before and with what the article is saying, I have my doubts about whether the source is a credible one or not.

This is my first time to post here....so I'm hopin' I did it right..

Kit Kat I appreciate your response. That source is not credible and I will tell you why. This Mother Jones site deals with stirring things up and keeping people angry. I did some research and they have some very unethical and unsavory controversial publications. One of them is about killing off people who are too old or too infirm and others are worse. Thank you though for your time but this goes in the compost heap.

Mother Jones is a very credible journalistic site and is as credible as the World Net Daily, Fox News, or Worthy Board News.

Mother Jones was a union activist in the early part of the 20th century. Her legacy is continued in the Mother Jones publication which is dedicated to carrying on her work against corporate and government oppression.

Hey guys, this is no real secret. These things have been under development for decades. They've just been out of the headlines for a while.

How do you suppose that Hans Blix and Scott Ritter and David Kay knew so much about the WMD, as to look for them in Iraq? American military labs have been working on them for the longest time.

Yes America does have programs involving Bioweapons. Its called Research and the seat of it is in FT Detrick Md. You can find all sorts of nasty things there. But the US is not into producing weapons of mass destruction and using these weapons on the world. Mother Jones is one of the rags that take information that is available to the public and distorts that information leaving just enough "truth" in the story to lend it a credible appearance. Its called Journalistic liscense. Not fact, not truth.
