A church that my family and I used to attend had a man there who had been a mormon and so we studied a lot about what they believed. This man had not let go of much of his mormon beliefs and we wanted to bring him to a right relationship with Christ. A website that helped us quite a bit is http:www.4witness.org Maybe this will help you. <>< ><> Nathele

I believe ONLY the Bible to be God's inspired Word, and I do NOT believe Joseph Smith was a prophet." If worse comes to worse just tell them that their problem is: "You can't tell a 'prophet' from a 'loss'!" Or just answer the door in your 'birthday suit'! I know exactly what you mean when you talk about their dedication! That is something that the rest of us can learn from the mormons. If every Christian was as dedicated to the Truth as many mormons are to their lie, the world would be a much better place. My advice for how to deal with them is to just love them back. If they bring up religion, tell them about your new Christian faith (being careful not to run the mormon faith down). Read up on the Mormon church, know all their doctrines and the flaws in those doctrines, that way you'll be sure not to fall into the same lie. Most importantly, pray often for your mormon friends and for the faith of your family.

I now see it as an opportunity.

Can I assume that you were in the church by your first post? If you were, then you already know some, if not a lot, of their beliefs. Since you left the church, there had to be a reason why. If these reasons are their doctrine, then remember these reasons. If not, then the suggestion on understanding their beliefs is a good one. Know your enemy, even if they show love. I say enemy because they do not follow God and follow false doctrine. Pray that the Holy Spirit guide your words as you witness. Be sure you have your full armor of God in place and with strength.
