I have read the chapters before and after many times. That still does not take away from the fact that the author is telling us that Jesus learned obedience to God and became the author of eternal salvation to all of us who obey Jesus.

2 John 1:8-9 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

One of the biggest lies that Satan has gotten the denominational world to believe is that man is not responsible to be obedient to the gospel of Christ.

99.9% of the denominational world uses Eph 2:8,9 incorrectly anyway. That is one that you need to take your own advice on and read above and below it instead of just taking it and running with it. And probably just as many don't know what "works" really are that the bible speaks of.

again:

2 John: "7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

again you place half concepts to make your point. youre pretty good at that. And you probably have a follwing

so im going to broaden up the scripture a bit.

The scripture is talking about not being deceived by others that say Christ did not come and did what He did.

the doctrine of Christ is not about works, fruits, what He said for you to do or obedience (which is the gospel of works that you promote). The point here is

to read all those wonderful things written about Christ (the man and God) and accept.

You accept who Christ is then you have both God the Father and God the Son.

real simple yet you really ran with it.

Its kind of depressing that this very basic thing cannot be agreed upon.

I agree. Pride hides the truth and blinds the eye. A simple statement that we are saved by grace through faith is drawn out to lengthly debates to prove that one understands more and is wiser then another. Where is the love?

yup ... still at it ...

this is how we are saved:

Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
