Guest LadyC
HELP!!! i need help, i just thought of a song i've heard in recent years... i think the song title is "merry christmas mary", but it's NOT the one by johnny cash. i'm looking all over for who sings the one i'm thinking of, but can't find it... edit: never mind, i found it, but it's not available on finetune anyway, here are the lyrics, you can at least enjoy reading them... Joseph was tired They’d been traveling all day And it was almost midnight Before he found a place to stay He put the burro in the stall Then knelt beside his wife To comfort her As she went through The pain of giving life And up above a star was shining brightly in the sky Joseph held the baby child And showed him to his wife And he said, “Merry Christmas, Mary Let me be the first to say, Merry Christmas, Mary The son of God has come to us today” There was someone at the door And Joseph turned to see Some plain and simple shepherd men Down on bended knee They talked about an angel Who told them where to come In the middle of the night to see God’s only son Then later there came wisemen Bearing gifts and offerings And Joseph led them all to see And praise the new born king And they said, “Merry Christmas, Mary Let us be the first to say, Merry Christmas, Mary The son of God has come to us today” Tears of joy Were gently flowing Out of Joseph’s eyes While up above the angels sang “Glory to God!” Merry Christmas, Mary Let us be the first to say, Merry Christmas, Mary The son of God has come to us today The son of God has come to us today
Guest LadyC
just bumping this up.... there are now 150 songs on the playlist. if anyone finds any to be inappropriate, let me know. i had to remove one i'd added by randy travis once i realized his "oh what a silent night" was about a guy sitting in a bar drinking his sorrows away while missing his wife on christmas. i've been listening all morning though and haven't run across any other bad choices. Waaaaaaah!! That song make me cry uncontrollably. It is beautiful. I like any Christmas song sung by Bing Crosby (especially White Christmas) and Count Your Blessings sung by RoseMarie Clooney. My mom loves the old musicals, especially Christmas musicals and I adore Bing Crosby's singing. I am an old fashion soul in a 36 year old body. lol. zaidenmom

I guarentee it is the most unique version of the song you have ever heard.
