U.S. Senate Report: Over 400 Prominent Scientists Disputed Man-Made Global Warming Claims in 2007

(source: http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?Fus...8-3c63dc2d02cb)

Snip: Over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries recently voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called "consensus" on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.

Looks like not all those skeptical about Global Warming are "in the pockets" of the bog, bad oil companies after all.

I don't know the answer to if global warming is man made or cyclical, although I suspect it is cyclical.

Still, why not conserve energy, cut down on our dependence of oil (we're funding the middle east), work on not polluting, cut down on soil erosion, have cleaner air to breathe etc etc etc.

God gave man dominion of the earth, why not be good stewards?

I agree. But I'm not going to give up my toilet paper, Christmas lights, Hanukkah candles, or breathing to "save the planet." Oh yeah....and I'm still going to eat beef. I don't care how much they fart or burp either.

Corporate Greed is destroying our Earth.

And rhetoric is destroying our cohesiveness as a society.

:emot-handshake:

Nor should anyone be forced to, but I think the possibility that they could is very real, especially through economic means and other under the table tactics. I agree with the obligation to practice good stewardship over the earth, but I believe too many of its advocates have every intention of blowing global warming so far out of proportion and are using that as propaganda to procure over extensive governmental dominion and power over the world. I have even found myself entertaining the possibilty that certain technologies might be used to make the earth's temperature warm up, just to try to lay the blame on all sort of other nonfactors, like the fact that we breath and eat.

I don't know anyone who wants polluted air, filthy water, or waste in our limited natural resources.

But that is not the real agenda behind the eco-whacks. It is entirely driven by a socialist political agenda to control the masses through manipulation and deception. They have already fooled much of the world so I welcome these scientists taking a stand to apply the brakes on the hysteria that is leading us down a primrose path.

Over 400 Prominent Scientists Disputed Man-Made Global Warming, U.S. Senate Report

We have zee term for these wrong'ed minded peoples, Moose and Squirrel, You zee we call them,

Deniers!

Zoon we will round them up and take away from zem their incandescent light bulbs and their zeptic papers.:rolleyes::)

Wait a tick? The U.S. Congress just outlawed the incandescent light bulb thus exposing us all to possible mercury contamination in our own homes. :) Not too mention placing a financial burden (have you seen the cost on those flourescent bulbs) on those hardest hit individuals, Women and Children, that they claim to want to watch out for. :) Odd really.

Peace,

Dave
