There is a thing called power of suggestion but this is most certainly not so in 85% of what he is experiencing....demons are like cats..feed a stray cat milk it will keep returning, give a place to a demon it will keep returning and with friends of his.Stop allowing this or any other occultic practice happen in your home.Get a group of elders including your pastor to go through your house annointing it with oil.Pray for the Holy Spirit of the Living God to rise up in you over any thing of the occult. Plead the Blood of Jesus over yourself whenever you feel oppressed or depressed by any evil presence, put on the armor of God. Come against confusion and the spirit of withcraft binding and looseing.
