We never appreciate ourselves

People never appreciate their own qualities. We never like what God has given us. We get plastic surgery for breast implants, face lists, nose-jobs...we get hair extensions to make our hair thicker, we put contact lenses in our eyes to change the color. Some even bleach their skin because they want to be "white". Appearance, talent, body-language, and over-all "Outside Appeal" has taken over the minds of seemingly everyone. Everyday, we are given "idols", movie-stars, celebrities, billionaires - and each appearance is distorted. God gave us all a certain beauty that makes us unique - someone may be ugly on the outside, but can make the most beautiful music in the world. Just because someone is beautiful (or called "beautiful", when they are really just average), we are given the assumption that they are perfect, they are the best, blah blah. Celebrities are called "beautiful" all the time, just because they are famous. If someone who is famous makes a mistake, they are bombarded. Why? Because the media has gave the public the idea that "Famous and rich people are beautiful - they're perfect, they never make a mistake". Many continue to believe that idea, they believe it. The mind can be tricked into believing something so easily. If you look at models, you rarely think, "Oh, well, it's all the makeup and air-brushing they've done to make her look good". We think, "Oh, wow! She's gorgeous!" Their is something beautiful about each and everyone of us - maybe it's our voice, the way we act, our how we do a certain thing. Beauty is not restricted only to outer appearances. Many people deemed non-attractive have some of the most beautiful personalities in the world...we should never look at a fat person and treat them horribly. We shouldn't even become jealous of a beautiful person, we should treat them kindly as well. We also have something beautiful about us...and you should find it. Learn what makes you beautiful, try new things, never just stick to your outside, learn about your insides. Learn what your talents are and use them to the fullest, never crush them or hide them - use them. Even if one criticizes you, never pay attention to them. We should all appreciate what God has given us, even if we are rich or poor, famous or not famous, ugly or beautiful, we are all beautiful.
