Well you seem to be asking us our views but restricting us to selecting only a limited number of boxes?

And in any case you assume that people actually know what those terms mean???

Well, I guess I do assume. For me it's a no brainer (I'm a theology/doctrine geek), but I can understand the confusion in some.

I will have more on the definitions later.

Greetings Warrior,

You failed to include either of the Preterism categories. However, most on this Forum are "premillennial". Some are dispys and others are not. Some have Amil leanings, but are not real vocal about it, and I don't blame them.

Is there a purpose in your question?

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

P.S. Welcome to Worthy Boards.

I'm just curious. I come from Rapture Ready, which you can guess is mostly a dispensational board. It's always interesting to me to see the spectrum of opinion between Christians on the subject.

Greetings Other One,

It doesn't really matter as long as Jesus is leading and in charge. Which he is...

Well, in fact, it does matter what the worldview of people are. Amils believe that we are now in the 1,000 year reign of Christ which is followed by Armegeddon.

Full Preterists believe that at the destruction of Israel in 70 A.D. was the Lord's 2nd coming and that we are NOW living in the New heavens and the New earth. Partial Preterists have only a modified view of full preterism.

Most Christians, at least that I know of, are historic pre-mill types, however, Amill seems to be rising in many quarters this day.

You may want to consider these verses:

1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1 Corinthians 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

1 Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

1 Corinthians 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

1 Corinthians 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

1 Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1 Corinthians 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

1 Corinthians 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

1 Corinthians 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

1 Corinthians 15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

1 Corinthians 15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

1 Corinthians 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

Do you see that IF we do not have our bodily "resurrection" in sight down the road someplace, that we are men most miserable and that all our efforts are IN VAIN? So indeed, we need to understand what the scripture says about that time.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

I would like to add though, Dad, you are right. One's view can be unbiblical such as full preterism or what say, the Jehovah's Witnesses teach. However, amillennialism does teach a bodily resurrection at the Second Coming and is orthodox in that manner.
