Baby Christians are especially vulnerable to being scared and overwhelemed by these things that will have a negative effect on their spiritual growth. Also with all Christians becoming too caught up in superstition and prediction is not at all good. Yes the Tribulation will require something like a asteroid hitting earth or some other disaster in order for all nations to sign up to the Antichrist, however when these things happen only God knows the timing. For us to try and work out times and dates is a waste of time and is not pleasing to God.

Not that I know much about him. I did see that program on the History Channel and while it is interesting, it can also be misleading. Only God knows about the date, time of anything. Looks like your friend bought into the planet x - niburu hoax. This has been around since the 70s. There is nothing headed our way in 2012. There is something headed our way in 2029, but even that isnt much of a threat, more speculation than anything else at this point. As a former applied physics student, I can tell you, Niburu is a hoax, but there is something else (not determend yet: planet or gathering of meteors) heading to earth that could be on a collapse path, in 2012. But for now it is not shure to tell if it will get (and even: remain) on that path. It is a posibillity, but a very unshure one.

Its next close approach will come in January 2012, when it will pass 0.178 AU from our planet. There is no chance of a collision http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast27feb_2.htm thats 16.5 million miles away :whistle (pretty close huh?) Compared with the distance from the moon to the earth? Yes

She says scientist has been watching it, and it is very big. Does the bible talk about this should we be worry. I don't remember reading about this in bible. This worries me. Just remember what Jesus said about the End of Days. We have nothing to fear with the end of the world as we know it - OK?

You can compare it with saying that New York is close to, when you are in Las Vegas e.g. compared to Moscow

EROS should pass the Earth about 16.5 million miles away. And you said it is close compared to the distance from the Earth to the Moon?

Along with that, keep in mind that God is in control of the situation. If I understand the Bible correctly, God will 1) receive us (Christians) unto Himself and 2) judge evil once and for all. Whether it happens tomorrow, in 2012 or 150 years from now God will still be in control and will look out for those that are His. woo hoo Keep focusing on Jesus and getting closer to Him.
