I follow the leading of the Holy Spirit as best as I can. I'm not perfect, that's for sure, but they do see me try my best. They also know where I came form and where I am now in Christ. Being an example speaks louder and stronger then words. If I'm asked, I answer in truth, though I may not quote scripture, they know where the idea and wisdom comes from. I want to know and understand the man's role and how that affects order in the church because I am a very new christian and don't understand very much at this point and was hoping to get some men to speak up to help me understand their roles. How am I supposed to know unless someone explains? Then someone had the idea to expan the question further to give examples of how the men have walked this out in their lives. Why is it okay to discuss women being out of order but when someone wants to hear from men on their roles and how they live it that only a few men respond. Essentially we have this: from 1 Timothy 2, 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Leadership and positions of authority in the church belong to men. This being the Word of God concerning authority in the church. As for the body of Christ in general, the husband's authority has been firmly established during the rest of this thread. However, a man is to love his wife as Christ loved the church, ..................He gave Himself up for her. He is to love his wife as he loves his own flesh, which means anything a man will do for himself to care for himself he is to provide for his wife. Period.No debate.Clear command.Get it done.
