I have been following quakers for several years, just a personal interest, and cannot say I'm noticing an increase in frequancy.

So far in the month of January I have received over 270 earthquakes over 3.0 in magnitude. It is interesting to watch the magnitude and also the location. I type them into a spreadsheet so that I can keep track easier. The USGS site also has earthquake history and such. It is an interesting site to look around. <>< ><> Nathele

On aprox Dec 20 I saw a report that had nearly 100 quakes recorded and quite a few of them were noteworthy.

I think (just my opinion) what we should watch for is news worthy, intense earthquakes 7.0 and up in diverse places. My Dad worked in a power station while I was growing up. In the station they had a seismogram to measure quake activity. It was able to measure the smallest tremor to the largest. I was astounded that tremors happen continuously. It's the size not the amount that was important to the station.
