["You would think that the BBC would let Christianity have a free run in the run-up to Easter, rather than handing the microphone to a Marxist."

Well no! This is the BBC showing their true colours. They are known as a Marxist organisation.

did anyone think to help him with his research ??? He could have experienced it first hand and then been able to speak with more authority on how easy it is to be crucified :)

actually I had quite a vivid imagination this morning as I read these ludicrous and hateful statements. :noidea:

--shakes head--

"The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say,

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise

and discard the intelligence of the intelligent."

:) It is a shame that one has such a opinion. Pray for this mans soul. Christs agony began in the garden...His heart was giving out then.

In medical terms there is a condition that happens to the very ill and dying...We call it weeping...the fluid volume is too much for the heart and kidneys to handle. the pores of the skin cells seep a red, pale but red color. The apsotles said that He sweat was like blood when he was in the garden.

Many did hang for days waiting to die in the sun. But Only Jesus died innocently with the sins of the world upon Him!!! Pray for this poor man for truth to set him free.

This chap doesn't know much about crucifixion. No one "thrashed about for days," the Roman Army finished the job after one day with a quick spear thrust. I seem to recall this happening to Christ, but perhaps some of you will remember the Gospels better than I.

I think it should be remembered that the actual cause of death during a crucificion is suffication.

What the Romans would do is break the thigh bones of the victim. At this point the person could no longer support themselves, and because of the position of the arms, and the wieght, the person could could only manage small breaths. Taking in much less oxygen than the body required. A long and very terrible slow suffication.

Remember the scriptures point out that the Lords bones were not broken...He bled to death. The spear pierced his spleen.

PLEASE DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNT OF THE CRUCIFIXION IF YOU DO NOT WANT GRAFIC DETAILS FROM A MEDICAL POINT OF VIEW ...

Maybe this would have helped that poor deluded man to understand what Christ went through :24:
