It was the murder of Hariri that got the Syrian troops out of Lebanon. After the death of the leader of Hizbollah, Hariri's assassination seems more to be the work of Hizbollah itself than Syria. It would seem logical then that Syria would feel free to blam slam the man as an act of vengeance. The intrigue thickens.

If I were the Isrsaeli PM, I would say, "yeah, we did it." I mean, like does it really matter? Would anyone like Israel more if they weren't behind it? Israel cannot be hated more than it is right now, anyway, so it really would not matter one way or the other.

But why satisfy their need for accusing Israel? Keep them guessing....why not?

All the big "be a shahid" preachers are in hiding, they don't like the idea of being Shahidim themselves.

The issue would be that it would give our enemies ammunition that we support a country that has state sponsored assassination.

I think its kind of amusing that the news story about this I saw included and interview with the chief of the Mossad. He said they were "trying to sort things out."
