I had to look at this backwards to decide. At the moment, due to my personal circumstances, I do not have a church to go to. The good news is that this will change in the coming months, but at present, I am 'churchless'.

I had to ask myself what, out of all of these things listed did I miss the most. The majority of them could be fulfilled (although not particularly satisfactorily) without actually attending a church, but fellowship with other Christians could not be achieved for me personally, other than attending a church.

i voted for "to be fed spiritually". the reason why people should want to go to church (one that preaches the "true" gospel), is to be fed spiritually. however, there are some who, especially in these apostate-church end days, find their spiritual stomachs more than satisfied with a good, hearty serving of private prayer/study time in their own home.

this would be me. why go to a fast-food restaurant when you can eat a home-cooked meal?

The most important reason, IMHO, for attending church...

"If God loves the church I need to"

Church is not about me, it's about HIM. If I start making it expressly about myself, then I'm only going to attend when I "feel" like it.

I voted to be fed spiritually. I feel it is a place for me to learn more about God and the Bible. I am hoping to find the right church soon!

I'm not sure what the most important reason is, but it is important! But the definition of "church" is not necessarily a large building with a sanctuary and licensed/degreed minister. A house church, for example, fully qualifies too. Being around other believers, equipping ourselves spiritually, etc. all good reasons.

True...

What did you vote? :emot-highfive:

I didn't vote, it is the first time I had set up a poll and somehow it locked me out before I voted. I probably would say the best answer for my understanding is I need to love the church because God loves the church. I attend worship service focused on encountering God like an appointment, but church is more than a worship service

:emot-highfive: All the other answers are important and good reasons, but not the most important.
