Certificate to sin?

It is apparent that some things are widely missunderstood.

these scriptures seem clear to me

.Romans 6:1-23

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

Hebrews 10:

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD :b:

This refers to living in sin, not ceasing to sin. Example - say someone has a porn addiction and then becomes saved....to live in sin would be to continue on using porn as though it's no big deal....That would be non conducive to a Christian relationship with God. The sin of adultery must die and the sinner must strive to live a sexually pure life....however, this does not mean that this person will never fall into temptation and view porn again.....and should he do so, he will feel remorse and will repent of the sin, strive to continue living a pure life and move on. And he will learn from his mistake how to combat the evil desires he still has ( comes from being human ).

See the difference ?

In His service,

Bob

I think "willfully" is the key word here. If we plan on Monday that we're going to sin on Friday, then that is willful. If you use Christ's death as the green light to sin then you're living in sin. Wallowing in it, planning it, no plan of turning away from it. It all comes down to your heart - He knows if you desire to sin, if you plan it ahead of time. Although a believer does not plan it, in fact hates it and tries wholeheartedly not to sin, then when we do fall into it, the Lord knows it is not deliberate after evaluating our hearts. That's my understanding of it anyway.

Actually it is not that mystical. We can explain in our deluuded language "WHY" the scriptures don't mean what they say. But that won't stop the LORD from judging everyone according to the simplicity of what they do say.

You can not know that you are sinning. and that is why you ask the LORD to forgive your sins daily.

However if you know sin and you don't repent. Then YOU are in contempt of the most high court.

I think we should all keep Christ in the center of our lives and we would have fewer questions. A lot less to worry about, too.

Godspeed,

No, you can not. To believe this is a very dangerous belief to have....if you believe that you are now without sin, you would no longer need to daily repent ( what is repentance without sin ? There would be no need ). If you do not repent, you are not acknowledging your sins....if you refuse to acknowledge your sins, you are not saved.

Instead of reacting you should read what is posted. I have never said that I am whithout sin but what I have said is that God has said that we can while we are here live sinless, that's exactly what Jesus said, so you need to go with what He says and not what men say. All The Scriptures you post say have sinned, and not one can anyone find that says we can't live sinless. Compare that fact whith the knowledge that Jesus, and Father God, and The Holy Spirit all said you can live with out sin. I can tell you that I expect to bring this flesh into captivity and totally submit it to The Holy Spirit just like Jesus did while He was here, because He says I can, and if I said anything else I would be calling Him a liar. I would suggest that everyone collect all The Bible Scriptures that speak on righteousness, perfection, holiness, Godliness, and Christ likeness, it will become very obvious that God will put the mind of Christ in you while you are here, He will put a right spirit within you, and He intends for you to glorify Him. Once again do not lean to your own understanding, do not be lulled into a false sense of security.

Whoa...I never meant - you personally directing my statements at you, I simply used the word 'you' meaning people in general. I'm not here to stir up trouble and fight about issues, I came here to discuss things that folks have different views on and in hope, either learn something myself, or to teach others on something they didn't know or were in error in. To me this forum looked like a win-win situation. Please accept my apologies if I appeared to be talking down at you; that was never my intent nor will it ever be my intent.

In regards to your last post, I don't believe that Jesus ever said we can live a sinless life on Earth; in fact I think He taught the opposite...that's why He came - to save the lost. As repulsive as sin is to the re-born Christian, it is an unavoidable ( we have to be honest with ourselves here ).

Once again do not lean to your own understanding, do not be lulled into a false sense of security.

I feel the opposite is true....to believe that one has reached a state of perfection ( living a sinless life ) would in fact be a false sense of security. Knowing that I can't [ live sin free ] humbles me to repentance. Jesus was able to live sin free because while He is indeed 100 % man, He is also 100 % God. We are not, therefore unable to achieve a sinless life....Jesus could because of who He is....God Himself. Even though I've posted this several times already, I'm going to post it again because it teaches in no uncertain terms what God says about our abilities ( or lack thereof ):

1 John 1:8-9

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

In His service,

Bob

I personally believe that God doesn't command us to do something that we do not have the ability to accomplish.

That being said I will quote 1 Peter 1:15-16, "But, now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God-who chose you to be his children-is holy. For he himself has said, "You must be holy because I am holy."

This verse doesn't say be perfect, it says be holy. No one is perfect, we have all and fallen short of God's glory. I tend to agree with what His Son has said.

I do sometimes mess up, but I repent. But, I can tell you that I mess up very rarely now, thanks to the Holy Spirit keeping me in line. I am an overcomer and I will not let the devil tell me that I can't live a sinless life! I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me, not some things, ALL things and that includes staying Holy and pleading the blood of Jesus over my life everyday. Being Holy is living in a constant state of repentance and not willfully sinning. It doesn't negate our need for God or Christ's sacrifice, in fact we need him so much more to remain holy.

We also need to remember that God sees us through Jesus blood. We are justified through Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
