Creating Opportunities II

Wow. Thanks for the advice! It really helps. Now maybe I'll let you all in on the circumstance I'm talking about. When you first hear this...you might think..."oh, typical teenage girl"...but I'm asking you to just hear me out and remember that I have been praying throughout this entire situation! Soooo...here it goes!

This situation I'm dealing with involves a guy in my life (I know I know...just wait!).

To give you some background info:

1. My mom prayed for me to meet a Christian guy (God wasted no time-1st year of college BAM! There he is!)

2. He just so happens to have the "check list" down pat (all the qualities and characteristics of a good mate)

3. He challenges me and encourages me to become a better Christian woman

4. He's made me realize some things about myself that I need to change

5. He's given me a new outlook on many different things

6. He's brought me closer to God and shown me what a real friendship is!

I thank God for him every day!

Soo....the dilemma? Well, it's not so much a dilemma. But I've been keeping all of this inside of me and I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should tell this guy how I feel. Most would say- "DUH! You have to tell him how much he means to you!!"...but I just want to make sure it's in God's will for me to do so. I have no expectations...I'm not hoping to marry this guy by the end of our conversation. But I never thought I would ever meet someone like him. Actually...I didn't even know anyone like him existed. I am truly blessed. What I've told you already about him is only the beginning.

Anyway...like I said before, I've been praying throughout this whole thing...telling God to help me to not let my emotions get the best of me and to be patient and all that jazz. But as each day goes by I'm starting to get the feeling that I should really let this guy in on all that's going on inside me. Not that I want to marry him!! (I already know that whole deal...and I'm not ready for that). But just as far as letting him actually SEE (in my face...and not through email!) how much I value him in my life.

So where does the creating the opportunity come in? Right now. I've been saying over and over that I was going to let God set up the perfect time and place for this to happen (if that's His will). But lately, I've been starting to think...maybe I'm supposed to take some initiative! Crazy thought, I know. Especially knowing me and my personality (I rarely do that).

And then of course...I realize that could just be me being impatient. And chances are...this "opportunity" will probably happen without me even realizing it. And that's probably for the better. If I think about something too much or try to "plan" out what I want to say, it won't be right.

And I think I just talked myself out of it.

Oops... :t2:

Anyway...I know you're all thinking..."oh boy...this girl's making a fuss over a boy... :t2: " And that's ok. But I know how blessed I am to have someone like him in my life...and I just think it's only right for him to be fully aware of this. I am overwhelmed when I think about how my life has changed since I met him. I used to be really stubborn and independent. And now I see things in a whole new light! And he has so much to do with it. Now I know it's really GOD, working in my life THROUGH him. But wow...I'm overjoyed to have a friend like him! (And yes, the potential for something more is there and has been hard to get around- attraction...that's a whole other topic!)

Whew....that's alot to take in. I know. Let it all sink in.

And let me know what you think. I really do value all of your opinions!

God will take care of this. I DO trust HIM!

None of us here can tell you what God's will is so you must continue in prayer with this. Does this guy like you? If this guy does, then it does seem like an answered prayer but if not, it's possible he is put in your life to help you along spiritually.

You've already answered my question but I have to state it because you can't read my mind...... :t2: Will this relationship help or hinder your walk with Christ. Obviously it will help you walk as you stated. It's all about God, everything else is extra.

For the record - that's how I met my fiance. (getting married in Nov) :t2:

I prayed for a Godly man and I also wanted to serve Him better somehow - didn't know how. Then I met a wonderful man who has dedicated his life to serving God's people and I'm going to help him. So both of my prayers were answered in one man. He also prayed for the same thing - to find a Godly woman. We took one look at each other and that was it - we were head over heals. God can most definitely work that way.

I hope this guy adores you the way my man does me, even more. I wish you guys all the happiness in the world. :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
