 Ok. How do I bring water out of the face of the rock? Because I see many thirsty sheep in the future when the LORD sends his two witnesses to close the heavens for three and a half years so that no rain falls on the earth. What will we who have our priorities straight feed his sheep during this time?

When you're already living for Him now, that's not an issue. God knows how to lead each one of us according to HIS will rather than our own.

Abraham, (God's friend)...didn't even know where he was heading...but he went. That's faith. That's the right attitude.

Many of us don't know where the Lord is directing us. He gives us small and simple commands to obey and if we obey those, He takes us to the next level.

That's why we call it a walk...because a walk is comprised of many steps, and the Lord doesn't always tell us where those steps will lead. We trust and obey and walk, step by step, holding His hand in trust.

Why would God have some of us go through affliction and suffering? Is it because he doesn't love us...? NO! It's all a part of His plan and He knows what is best for us..He can see ahead, where He is leading each individual.

The question isn't what about tomarrow but what are we doing "today"?

Very good post as usual compasskid,

It's funny - I was just watching a special last night on prayer (Word Pictures with Mark Kielar) and he was talking about people praying for the right things that are in God's will, yet with a selfish motive.

Ex:

A wife is praying for her unbelieving husband. Of course this is God's will that he believe. But her motive was so that they could have a happier marriage. While that is not bad in itself - it was all about her or them. It wasn't really about God. All that we do, say, think, and desire should be for the glory of God. :dove

I agree with some of what you have said. God has called us to live a life of sacrifice. Putting aside our goals for self and seeking to live a life of service for Him.

Romans 12:12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

On the other hand, I disagree with your last paragraph. While our hearts should be filled with the love of God simply by virtue of the fact that we have His Spirit living within us, that is not the thing that we are told to seek after. Rather, we are told several times in the Word to seek out Wisdom and understanding, as god-man has indicated. As a matter of fact, when Solomon could have asked for anything from God, God was pleased and Solomon was honored with it all because he asked for wisdom.

1 Chronicles 1:7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. 8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. 9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Psalm 51: 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom .

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom : a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom : out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

This is how you bring water out of the face of the rock to water the sheep.

Mt 21:21

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done.

Mt 17:20

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Do you love him? Is your walk really for HIM?

HE told you the whole mystery.

Why don"t you believe HIM?

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD :)

Yes, I agree with IR and God-man about wisdom.

Prov.4

[5] Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

[6] Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

[7] Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

[8] Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

[9] She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Prov. 8

[11] For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Prov.16

[16] How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Prov.19

[8] He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.

Col. 1

[9] For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

[10] That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Jas.1

[5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
