If mankind haven't discovered quantum physics, the computers you now use wouldn't have existed. Quantum physics is very important in creation of solid state devices.

Also remember this, use your testimony I have found that usually when someone brings up something like this, its just a smokescreen from the real issue. We overcome with the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, remember no once can argue your testimony!

I took a quantum mechanics class in college. I got a b. I still don't know how I got a b. I concur that Ken miller is a good source. But be careful if he knows his stuff it will be easier for him to sow seeds of doubt in your faith than it will be for you who has no professional training to converse and show him the error in his thinking.

Quantum mechanics - I seriously spent forty hours a week studying just for this one class. I still get migraines thinking about it.

As i recall, Albert Einstein believed that there was a Creator. He rejected Quantum Mechanics but lost debates against it.

His statement was "God does not play dice with the Universe". I just did a quick www.google.com on that-lots of articles!

Quantum Mechanics offers probabilities [ not certainties] for events [e.g. radioactive decay]rates, and the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle. This principle states that one CANNOT know both the position and momentum of a particle simultaneously. Einstein believed that there had to be something deeper as to what was really happening.

Scientific American had -to me- a good article on this:"100 Years of Quantum Mysteries". It was their cover story for February 2001

The disagreement that Einstein had with the Quantum folks is in regards to time itself. According to Einstein and the Theory of Relativity is is theoretically possible that the future is determined in some way. That is because time and space are related. It is the theory fo the very large. Quantum Physics is the theory of the very small. According to that theory the future cannot be determined in any way because it is gradually unfolding (bit by bit).

He did not lose debates to them. In fact, the debate continues to today

My daughter understands what quantum physics is, she would like to know how to effectively engage him in a conversation of 'Quantum Physics vs Creationism'.

Have her simply explain that Dr. Sam Beckett, is a scientist who becomes lost in time following a botched experiment. Albert Calavicci is Sam's womanizing, cigar-smoking sidekick and best friend. He appears to Sam as a hologram that only Sam and a select group could see or hear. The series is particularly notable for the end of each episode, where Beckett leaps into his next persona. :noidea:

Oh, wait.......you're not talking about "Quantum Leap," are ya?

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
