  1. I know for a fact that the election will change nothing. It's two sides of the same corrupted coin. Its a dog and pony show for the people really in power to make the public think they are changing something. However, I don't expect anyone to believe me until it happens, again, just as it has for decades now. (you figure people would wake up to this eventually) Mark my words, everyone will see soon enough. I won't say anything further in any of these political topics, there's no point; just don't say I didn't warn you.

  3. After a lot of prayer and observation, I've come to the conclusion God has lifted His hand from our nation. I know a lot of Christians won't agree, and that's fine; just one man's opinion, and I pray that I'm wrong. But history tells us most nations rise, prosper, wane, and then fall, and to think we're somehow immune to that is folly. Will it be permanent? Maybe not. There's always a chance the Body of Christ here in America will, like Ninevah, repent, and stay God's judgment. But in my heart of hearts I believe we've passed the tipping point, and there's no saving this ship.

  4. Is there still a legend somewhere that explains the symbols beside posts so that you know if they're locked or open or a hot topic or no one's replied to them yet? 'Cause if there is, I can't find it

  5. The OP asked, is Water Baptism required for Salvation, not what kind of faith is required. Not quite the same thing Gary. Maybe you can try and clarify your position on the OP. I have tried that. It fell flat. My position is and will continue to be Yes it can be and No it is not. I have yet to see anyone who agrees with what I have said because to agree with what I say one must agree with me what saving faith is. Though the question of the OP does not directly address the topic of saving faith it cannot be separated from it. Gary OK well I will address this response of yours. Water Baptism can NEVER be required for salvation. Saving faith is what Paul says it is in Romans 10:9-10; If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. No water involved, just faith. Your absolutely correct. Paul did not openly address a water baptism in these two verses but it is necessary to expound upon these verses in order to understand the depth of what they say with so few words. One must confess Jesus as Lord. That alone is more than enough to cover the necessity of obedience to every precept found in the word of God. Gary Then if you agree, I really don't understand your reticence to state this? Paul pretty much said all that is needed. There is nothing really to expand on, or expound for that matter. Simple confession and profession of who Christ is saves the human soul. It's not really complicated. Simple confession. Biblical confession means to agree with that which was spoken and must be accompanied by the evidence of works that are particular to the confession or the confession is false. Gary Biblical confession means to agree with what God says is truth. God said Jesus is His son and our Messiah/Saviour. God says I accept that and I am saved. Faith, is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things NOT seen. Heb.11:1 James says if our WALK doesn't produce fruit, then our faith is dead. That does NOT negate the confession or make it false. James didn't say that. In any event this has nothing to do with salvation coming from water baptism. It has already been made clear, that faith ALONE, completely saves.

  7. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3

  9. The biggest mistake in theology is to build a case off of one quote. You have to place the quote in context to the passage as well as with the rest of Scripture. (This, by the way, is where you went wrong with the Old Testament. You failed to see the Big Picture.) But did you not say you enjoy challenges? Well, here is a challenge that will stretch you. You know the anti-God, anti-Bible arguments quite well (you've been arguing the exact points the rest of them do), so obviously you do know how to research, since you've learned from the atheists. It should not be that difficult for you to research this argument, should it not? Or are you afraid to dig around the Bible and theologians?

  10. Your answer shows a lack of understanding prophetic time scales. God can lump 10, 20, 50, 100, 1000 years into one "time". Again, you have to look at all prophecies to see the big picture. You have to read Zechariah for the answer. "Innerent" doesn't mean we all agree on what it means. Based on one snipped passage?
