  1. I know that trying to witness to a prostitute also produces a great deal of hostility most of the time. For some reason, many gays and most prostitutes feel judged by whoever approaches the subject of Jesus with them, no matter how you approach them. Back off if they become hostile so their back don't get up against the gospel and all Christians to follow you. Show genuine interest in them as people first. Speak about what music they like, what movies they've seen, etc. Pray. Ask for permission to share how you came to believe in Jesus before blurting it all out. When they interrupt, let them interrupt and let them speak, even if they have objections (especially if they have objections against what you say). Try learn how to answer those objections, but if you can't, admit it. It's difficult - but it's also easy, if you pray first in you mind. Lekh

  3. Many laptops come with anti-virus software installed. I like McAfee. Some like Norton. Just make sure that you keep what ever program you get updated. There are some that are free I can't remember the one my husband really liked. I'll try to remember to ask him when he gets back. AVG free is apparently very good.

Don't believe in the reconciliation of "all Israel" to Christ, because they view "all Israel" as having nothing to do with the flesh-seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but as an international nation made up of all peoples who are "in Christ" (as opposed to Gentile believers in Jesus being grafted into Israel among the remnant of the flesh-seed who believe in Jesus, as stated in Rom.11: 17). 2. As you know, amillenialists see the Lord's judgment of the nations at the end of this age as the "Great White Throne judgment" which Revelation speaks of as coming after the close of the millennium, because they don't believe in a literal millennium, but they see "the millennium" as referring symbolically to the age in-between the ascension and return of Jesus. 3. Therefore to amillienialists, two concepts are alien to their thinking: 3.1 The concept of Jesus judging the nations that will gather against Jerusalem while saving Jacob (Israel) at that time. 3.2 The concept of "those who are left" (of all the nations which gathered against Jerusalem and which will go up form year to year to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and keep the Feast of Tabernacles"). 4. Amillenialists see God's judgment of ALL flesh except the redeemed in the days of Noah as a Biblical type of God's judgment of ALL flesh except the redeemed at the end of this age (which they believe is "the Great White Throne judgment") (and therefore again, the concept of "those who are left" is alien to their thinking). But just after the flood, God said to Noah: "And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth." (Gen 9:11). The Hebrew word translated into English as "neither" is "lo", meaning, "not": "... not shall all flesh be cut off anymore by the waters of a flood, and not shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth." The key words are "all flesh" and "the waters of a flood". Therefore, in accordance with God's covenant with Noah, when Jesus returns with His resurrected saints and judges the nations which have gathered against Jerusalem, "not shall all flesh be cut off" - there will be "those who are left". The great White throne judgment at the close of the millennium follows one final rebellion of the nations against God: "... And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. No, I did state that the research was done on ALL the records of and references to signs, wonders and miracles + visions and dreams which were either done or seen by (all) of the disciples of Jesus, FROM Acts THROUGH TO Jude. The fact that the records all come up in "the Acts of the apostles" where nine of the ten records were done at the hand of the apostles; and the fact that the references speak of the records as "the signs of an apostle" certainly does not give a Biblical basis for the claim that any other disciples received (or receive) the same special anointing that the 12 and the 70 were given. Everybody thanked Jesus and praised Jesus for it, without making a Hollywood movie-scene out of it, the way it gets done at "faith-healing meetings". Neither were the "faith-healers" (the people who prayed for her healing) exalted by others because "they" had healed the woman. Everyone knows that it is Jesus alone who healed her. I'm glad you say "Let's stick to the Bible", because that's my entire point - let's stick to the Bible - and the Bible does not give ANY basis for the claim that other Christians received (and receive) the same anointing of power which first the 70, then the 12 received. The whole point in my argument is - stick with the Bible - and from Acts to Jude, you won't find a Biblical basis for your argument that any other Christians aside from the 12 received (or receive) the same anointing of power which the 12 did (and which the 70 received prior to the days of the Acts). Please understand that I do not disrespect those who believe what you do - I have two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, + an aunt who I would call "hyper-Charismatic"; and they (and all their Christian friends who go to their church) see prophetic and apocalyptic visions and dream prophetic and apocalyptic dreams all the time, yet none of their visions and dreams ever come to pass. My aunt is forever and always trying to lay hands on my head and "prophesy" over me whenever she sees me, and though I tell her to please stop, she just don't get it My brothers and sisters-in-law know I don't agree with them, and why. We don't argue about it. They joke with me and say that I don't have enough faith, therefore I won't believe it when I see the rapture happening, and therefore I'll just stay where I am (and things like that), and I joke back at them.   6. True, it is exciting to know He's coming back. Lots of tragedy before He does because of man's rejection of the LORD and of His Christ before He comes back though, and that's the sad part. Just remember that although there are many Christians who understand the prophecies the same way I do, there are also many who understand things differently, and they will give you a different explanation (and that might confuse you). The best is to check the scriptures out in the Bible yourself and also pray to God and ask Him to give you discernment and understanding wherever there is discrepancy between what various groups of Christians teach regarding prophecy.   7. There's that "until" word that pops up all over scripture: "... For I say to you, You shall not see Me from now on until you say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." (Mat 23:39) "... And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." (Luk 21:24) "... And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." (Act 3:17-21) "... There's a Biblical type of this: Aside from a remnant (Joshua and Caleb), the entire generation that left Egypt perished in the wilderness through unbelief, unable to enter their promised land, bit only the next generation entered under the leadership of Joshua (Jesus). Israel has been wandering in a kind of a spiritual wilderness in unbelief - but "the next generation" will enter: "And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins." Indeed as regards the gospel, they are enemies ("until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in) for your (the Gentiles') sakes. But as regards the election, they (Israel) are beloved for the fathers' sakes (God's covenant promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants). For the free gifts (covenants of grace) and calling (eternal election of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants) of God are without repentance. For as you (Gentiles) also then (in times past) disbelieved God, but now have been shown mercy through their disbelief, even so these (of Israel) also have not believed now, so that through your mercy (because of the mercy God showed you Gentiles) they may also obtain mercy." (Rom 11:26-31). This is why you find that "until" word popping up all over the New Testament. No. The Lord won't return until all Israel turns to Him and calls upon Him for their salvation, and this will occur at the end of this age, and it won't occur before the full number of the Gentiles who are to be saved from God's wrath through faith in Jesus, have come into the Kingdom of Christ. At the time of the return of Jesus, He returns with His resurrected saints to bring judgment upon the nations that have gathered against Jerusalem: "... Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee." And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.   10. It's not an assumption - go read the Biblical record. Of the ten records of miracles and signs, nine were performed by the apostles, who Mark.16: 14-20 says were sent out by Jesus to preach the gospel to all the world. Only one of them was performed by a none-apostle - Stephen. And Barnabus performed miraculous sign when he was in Paul's company, when Paul and Barnabus had preached the gospel and the gospel was accompanied with miracles of healing. Read the BIBLICAL record, brother - the link is in my signature. I know of miracles which have occurred after THE CHURCH prayed for people. Nothing sensational, nothing spectacular. But Jesus answered their prayers and healed the people they were praying for. How do you know a false teacher/prophet? It's really simple. Whenever there's a false teacher/prophet in the room/church/tent or at the open-air meeting, there are always a lot of dramatics accompanying miracles and prophetic or apocalyptic visions, dreams and "tongues", and SOMEONE gets given the glory BY LIP-SERVICE, while someone else gets exalted - to such an extent that A BLOG might be started decades later about him!!! How does Wigglesworth's healings square up with the Biblical fact that of the only ten records of and references to the miracles in the first century, nine were performed at the hand of the apostles and one by Stephen, who was later martyred? 2. Why does Mark 16: 14-15 specifically state that Jesus was speaking to THE ELEVEN, and why does verse 20 specifically state that THEY (the eleven) "went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with THEM (the eleven) with signs following after the Lord had commanded THEM (the eleven) to "go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature"? 3. Newspapers ALWAYS report on sensational stories, because they know sensationalism sells. The newspaper reports were no doubt neutral as to the validity of the claims of Wigglesworth. Are newspaper reports proof that these healings and resurrections of the dead actually occurred? 4. Have you met any of the descendants of the people Wigglesworth raised from the dead? 5. Is there any difference between Wigllesworth's "healing meetings" where people were "miraculously healed", and "healing meetings" of today by people like Benny Hinn? 6. Are we commanded to follow Christ, or Wigglesworth, Benny Hinn, etc? Must a blog now be started about all those in the church across the road from me who prayed for a woman recently who was on her deathbed and was miraculously healed after their prayers? Are they not also in the same league as Wigglesworth, since their prayer resulted in the healing of a woman who the doctor had said would not make it beyond the day everyone was praying for her? Or was it JESUS who healed her? Funny, the people who prayed for this woman just recently didn't take any credit for her healing or allow any attention to be drawn to them because the woman was healed - and nobody was pressurized to give any money to pay for "their traveling expenses and other costs". Franky, check the passage of the above quote - He was speaking to the eleven, just after he reproached them for not believing those who said He had risen from the dead: "Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they (the eleven) believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them (the eleven), Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, (the eleven) he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they (the eleven) went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them (the eleven), and confirming the word with signs following. Amen." (Mar 16:14-20). Now compare all the above with the following facts: (a) Of the only ten records of or references to signs, wonders and miracles from Acts through to Jude, nine of them were performed by the apostles (+ Barnabus when he was in the company of Paul); and one of them was performed by Stephen before he was martyred; and (b) The New Testament calls miracles, signs and wonders "the signs of an apostle" twice, while there are five prophetic references to the coming of false prophets performing miracles, signs and wonders; and one prophetic reference to the miracles, signs and lying wonders of the man of lawlessness. All of these BIBLICAL facts + the context of Mark 16: 14-20 shows that when Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover", He was speaking only about THE ELEVEN. And it actually happened - not only did THE ELEVEN perform signs, wonders and miracles (which the New Testament calls "the signs of AN APOSTLE"), but we read about THIS happening to one of the apostles: "... And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god." (Act 28:3-6). Isn't the BIBLICAL record enough to show you that there most certainly is a distinction between the power that the twelve and the 70 were given, and Christians being able to pray for one another's healing?   13. There must have been just as much sickness and disease and dying going on in the days of the apostles as there is today. I wonder how many of the terminally ill whom the apostles came across, the apostles shared the gospel with, praying for their salvation, anointing their heads? I wonder how many died, and how many were miraculously healed after the apostles prayed for them? I guess no terminally ill person who came in contact with the apostles throughout the apostolic decades died of their illness? Men can claim what they want, from being given "the keys of Peter" to being the first of the two witnesses of Revelation 11 (I've seen that one advertising on the net somewhere!). But I believe the Bible. I don't expect others to agree with me, but I cared enough to know the truth about these things to go searching all the the records of and references to signs, wonders and miracles and visions, dreams etc from Acts through to Jude. It wasn't a small project, but I'm very glad I undertook it. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psa 119:105).

And aside from the fact that most of Israel and the West Bank and Gaza-Strip's population was Jewish until the late 1800's, many Jews began emigrating to "Palestine" in the late 1800's from various parts of Europe and Russia to escape antisemitism. This flow continued to grow - especially after the defeat of the Ottoman-Turk Empire by the allies in the first world war, when Palestine became mandated to Britain. The British authorities periodically attempted to stop the tide of Jewish immigration to "Palestine", because of Arab protest. Throughout the post 135 A.D centuries of (first) Roman rule and then Eastern (Byzantine) Roman rule, and then Arab Caliphate rule, and then Ottoman-Turk rule, the Arabs had no interest in settling in Palestine. But suddenly in the late 1800's, when Jewish families began to immigrate to Palestine from Europe and Russia, Arab families began to settle in Palestine too - so that for every one Jewish family which settled in Palestine, there were 10 Arab families which settled near or around them. This Arab flow into Palestine was motivated partly out of a sense of alarm that "the homeland of Islam" would be taken over by Jews, and partly by the fact that the hard-working Jews provided work for the Arabs who settled near them. Jordan annexed the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and Egypt the Gaza Strip in 1948. The Jews living in East Jerusalem and the West Bank were forced out, and their properties were seized. Before 1947/48, the Arabs living in Palestine regarded the name "Palestinian" as an insult, and the British authorities were careful not to call them Palestinians. After 1948, they became "Palestinian" Arabs with thousands of years of historical occupancy of "Palestine" overnight. The Palestinian National Charter/Covenant is still the official policy document of the "Palestinian" Arabs, and it denies the legality of the state of Israel, and states that all Jews and their descendants who immigrated to Israel after the late 1800's (after what they call "the Zionist invasion") + all their descendants are to leave Israel ("Palestine") and return to the countries they came from. The Arabs are very, very good at making up lies and then believing their own lies, and the Western media and governments are very, very good at tripping over their own feet trying to placate the Muslims and the Arabs - it's nothing new. The Balfour Declaration is a legal document which grants Israel, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jordan and Syria and part of Iraq to the Jews. But not only will the world not allow them to have what's rightfully theirs by Divine and by human decree (the Abrahamic Covenant and the Balfour Declaration), but they want to take away even the tiny little piece that was eventually allowed them by human decree which seeks to annul both the Divine decree and the human decree known as the Balfour Declaration. The world is going to pay. The decree has been issued (Ps.2: 7-9). God is only waiting for the world's wickedness to reach its fullness. lekh

Bullinger looks thorugh scriptures Maxwell doesn't or well he does through his own opinions of them. I never said he was a christian thinker just that he believes in a higher power and is spiritual, the way one views scriptures is how they will view astrotheology. I think Maxwell has some of the same understandings of Bullinger, who I have read, but yes there are differences just as there is differences in many peoples theologies. Thanks, mizzdy. Could be that when the sons of Seth intermarried with the daughters of Cain, they turned to the false worship of Cain's descendants, and that after the flood, Nimrod (whose name means rebel? or something like that, I believe) led people to revert back to the idolatrous worship of the descendants of Cain.... from what I've read the ancient Egyptian worship of Isis and Osiris stretches back further than the flood.... but now I'm really speculating.... D. James Kennedy was the one who taught me how to share the gospel with others (not him, personally, but the program he started and which was taken to many countries of the world).

"Astrotheology". Now they must have their minds in the heavens! It has certainly helped me to understand the symbolism of the woman and the dragon of Revelation 12. Also the fact of those ancient Canaanite texts discovered by archaeologists (which talk about "leviathan" as a "crooked, foul-fanged serpent with seven heads") helped me to understand the origin of the symbolism of a seven-headed dragon. Maybe the ancient pagan nations regarded the constellation of the serpent as a serpent having "seven heads", or something? lekh

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
