  1. But only if you're currently employed by the NFL- all others must purchase 10.
  2. My family, I didn't know where exactly to put this, but I just wanted to take a second to say that if you are a parent, and your child is a bully, take care of it. If you are a parent and your child is being bullied- take care of it. Where we could once simply "laugh off" bullies, a recent situation has made me aware of how serious bullying can be. Although I have no children of my own, I have volunteered in youth ministry for about ten years, and know just how precious children are, and how important they are to their Father. It hurts me when I see, hear of, or read about any child hurting. Please, take a stand against bullying. Do something, anything- that you can to help. I'm off my soapbox now. This is not an attempt to start an argument or call anyone a "bad parent". Your brother in Christ, Drawn
  3. This is Jesus testing this woman's faith. Knowing that His Father's people were the Israelites, He came for them. However, "God so loved THE WORLD that He gave His only Son..." John 3:16 Jesus was testing her to see if she would back down, or continue to recognize Him for who He is, and not seek anyone or anything else for her needs. In my opinion and from my study, this is how I have always seen this verse.
  4. Okay, seriously, dude- was that really necessary? Oh, it was? Well.... okay, then.
  5. Also, for those who wish to use it- there's a utility that I like to use called Revo Uninstaller. It's a utility that allows you to COMPLETELY uninstall things from your computer (simple uninstalls sometimes leave things behind). Best thing- it's free. I tested it, and had no spy or adware. If you Google it, you'll find it. Warning- it's not for people just playing around, because if you select complete uninstall, there's not an "undo". I use it often when I want to get rid of something for good. I would say that it's more for power users, but the help section is a great guide- read it carefully and you should be ok. "Use at your own risk"- my little disclaimer.
  6. When I read that, I became a bit ill. Boy, does this lady need prayer. If she would only devote that much attention to prayer and Bible study. For that matter, if ony more CHRISTIANS would devote that much attention to prayer and Bible study. I'm going to pray for this lady.
  7. I woke up a little early so I could get in some extra studying before Sunday school. Wrong. I staggered out to the living room and noticed that the cable box time was one hour ahead of my alarm clock. DOH! Class went great, with many people arriving about 30 mins into the class looking disheveled. We had a wonderful discussion. The topic? Oh, yeah it was "God's Sovereign Timing". You may think I'm kidding. Could we have picked a better topic? I love this family!!!
  8. Off-site backup is worth the cost. Look into Carbonite. Google it. I use it and LOVE IT! If anything ever happens to my hard drives (and I run two servers at home), all of my stuff is backed up off-site and I can always retrieve it!
  9. The cake is made with Snickers!?!?!?!? <drool>
  10. Cake? Where? <looks around for cake> <has been following wyguy around looking for this alleged "cake">

    Hell

Hmmm... very interesting. Except scripture says that Hell contains a "lake of fire". (Do I really need to reference the scripture for that?) I'm not saying that I disagree with what he said, and I'm not starting an argument here. I'll have to check that book out... Thanks for this- very thought provoking.
  12. Or maybe, just maybe, God knew Noah really wanted a good steak. Noah was a man, after all, and we men LOVE our steaks!!!
  13. Hmm. Thanks. I found that article very interesting.
  14. Yeah, I think their energy may have just been sapped, and God knew that a good protein would provide a sustained release of energy that they would need to do all that they needed to get done after landing the ark. You know, getting all the animals out, cleaning up, walking a great distance if need be, etc. Just a guess.
  15. I just simply forgot. What were the Jews who turned away from Judaism to Christianity called? I believe there was a term for this, but I simply forgot, and don't have access to my reference resources for a while to refresh my memory... This is not an attempt at a debate or anything, I really just can't remember the term. Thanks, all!
  16. One word, and I think a lot of people agree with me after reading through this thread- FIREFOX. I use it instead of IE. Actually, I uninstalled IE completely. I use Linux on my other computers, but XP on my laptop. Firefox is great. If you have need to view a page in IE, there are extensions that allow you to view pages written for IE.
  17. Happy New Year, my brothers and sisters! I love you all! May our Lord RICHLY bless you all! ... and a hearty THANKS to our mods who have made this a most enjoyable year here in Worthy! Praise God!
  18. Interesting, indeed. I stand with Israel. May the Lord's will be done in all things. All praise to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!
  19. Jesus always told the demons to be quiet. Do the same. Rule #1 in talking to demons - they lie. So don't even bother. Great advice- thanks, nebula! Stupid lying demons, they lie and then lie, and after that- they lie. Then, they lie about lying about the lies about which they lied. Those liars.
  20. RAH-FUL! ..."butt plate of retreat.." heheheheheheh That was awesome! ...and thank you, jesussaves, for that post. Really lifted me up. Thanks, and may God richly bless you and your family!
  21. They are very sneaky, and unless you are willing to get into something with a very very very old entity that is extremely intelligent, I'd just tell them to move on and not come back...... also that they are not to bother you or your friends or family. Remember that not even Jesus sent them to the pit. If you get the notion to do that, you'll have the fight of your life on your hands. My first experience concerned one that actually had me convinced that I was talking to God Himself; went on for about a year and a half before I realized what was going on. I had been raised a Christian and had gone through all the motions of being saved, but had not really made Christ my Lord and savior so it was rather easy for the entity to dazzle me with it's intelligents. To answer your question, unless the Holy Spirit directs you to, I would not converse with it, just require it to leave. This is not something to play with, and not something like Kenneth Copeland strutts around telling people to go find some demon butt to kick. While you don't have/need to fear them, you are not wise to respect them for what they are and are capable of doing. If you are not comfortable with confronting something like this take it up with your pastor if they are inclined to understand these matters. Not all clergy even believe in such matters. Another side to this, there are people who will just live with whatever it is in thier house or wherever. When you get into the spirit world, there is too much that I don't know to play with it. Other than helping other people who are being attacked by dark forces, I really just want to be left alone till Jesus comes back. Let me know before you do something about it, and I'll at least ask the Lord for protection for you and your feiends There are lots of prayer partners here on Worthy that would also be some good spiritual backup. Neb has dealt with demon powers in the past, you might PM her if she doesn't pick up on the thread. Hey, thanks again- this is welcome information to have. I've never dealt with demonic powers before. I went over to the house to take my friend's car trailer to him, and walked around a bit. It's like the house is watching you, do you know what I mean? I'm not a superstitious person, I'm not into the occult, or ghosts or anything like that. (I'd rather watch cartoons or go fly fishing, lol.) However, I get a weird feeling like I've never experienced. My buddy's gonna be back on Thursday instead of Wednesday, so we'll probably pray over the house, anoint it, etc. on Friday afternoon. Thank you for the prayer cover, I really appreciate it.
  22. Thanks, guys. I really appreciate your advice.
  23. Thank you, other one- I appreciate your help, and will email my bud and tell him about the fast. I think we will both do it, and he may even get his girlfriend (a true woman of God) involved as well. One more question, tho- is it wise to speak to an entity if it speaks to us, or is it better to ignore it and let Jesus do the talking? I don't like to play around with evil.
  24. A good friend of mine recently moved into a house that he recently purchased. He slept in the house for a week and complained of noises, etc. He said that there were ghosts, but I told him that they were probably demons since "it is appointed unto men once to die and after that the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) I believe that demons will try to impersonate the dead in order to play on our fears and keep us from from trusting in God. Anyway.... I helped him rip up some of the carpet in his foyer and found a weird little pewter charm for a necklace. It was a scrunched up face on one side and two sticks crossed in the back. I thought it was evil, so we burned it in a fire in the backyard, then took the melted parts and threw them in the deepest part of the local river. I'm hoping that we have rid the house of evil things as he has not found anything else. My question is this- have we done enough? Does he have the power to anoint the house, or does he need to get an ordained minister to do so? He's in Tuscon this week and won't be home until next Wed., so I wanted to find out some info to help him out. He is a good friend and a brother in Christ, so I know neither of us can be possessed, I just wanted some advice on what else can be done. Thanks, ya'll!
  25. I am in prayer. Father, You are awesome and wonderful. Demons tremble at the sound of your name, and all Earth attests to Your magnificence. I ask, oh Lord, that You remove the anxiety from these my siblings, and that they will run to Your holy Word for their strength each and every day. Thank you, Father, for the Bible, as we know that it IS Your inspired word. Thank you for giving us ALL we need to know within its pages. In Jesus' holy name, Amen
